Wet 'n Wild Orlando, Orlando
Categories: Water Parks, Water & Amusement Parks
Considered to be the nation's first dedicated water park when it opened in 1977, Wet 'n Wild Orlando is known for its rides and high-speed aquatic attractions. The site has since been purchased by Universal Studios and renovated several times and stands among the country's most-visited water parks. You can get your adrenaline pumping by hopping on the Aqua Drag Racer, (Florida's fastest multi-lane waterslide race), swirling wildly in The Storm, and dropping nearly six stories into the pool below with the Bomb Bay. For a slower pace, check out classic mainstays like the lazy river and wave pool. I'm so sorry this is closing in December We visited in August, and it was just as popular as ever. Arrive early to get a sun lounger and a locker. We didn't queue for more that 15 minutes for any of t... read more »
Had more fun in the bath! The park may as well be closed already for the amount of effort that seems to be currently put into the running of the park. Rude staff, hardly anything in stock, sound syste... read more »
We loved this place and we miss it so much! Lots of slides for all ages, great food, a wonderful gift shop, great service, very clean and lots of space and lots of chaise longues for everyone. We loved the lazy river, it's very clean, beautiful trees and flowers, records of birds singing, staff was very nice, especially the young man at the front desk who helped us with the tickets (November 2015). We shall definitely come back here!
I usually do not write reviews but felt the need to because of all of the negative remarks regarding customer service. Every single staff member was nice and courteous to us and we encountered quite a few. Great park and sad to hear it's been sold out. I gave it 4 stars because: 1, everything, including food was way overpriced and 2, all of the stands, food, closed at 6pm, which is ridiculous when the park is still open till 9pm. Why not cut back on too many employees in one area, not doing anything and save them to at least keep a couple stands open? Example, in the all you can eat BBQ, there was always like 4 employees, but none of them were doing anything but talking? They were nice but way over staffed when 2 of them could've been used to keep open a few food stands after 6pm. Overall, it was an awesome experience and wouldn't hesitate to go again. The rides are super family friendly. Definitely recommend getting the all you can BBQ per person, money wise, although their definition of dessert is just sherbet. Would've liked to see more options in terms of dessert, add a salad and been able to leave the area with our beverages. Thanks Wet n Wild for a wonderful and memorable family day!
My family was at a toss up about entertainment. We desided to try Wet and Wild and I am glad we did. We arrived about 9:30 and were able to ride continuely. Even after the crowd arrived we still had a blast. If your children love water this is the PARK. Please give this park a chance and you want be disappointed.
So glad the park is closing, the staff are horrible; they are slow, ignorant, rude and simply don't care..no such thing as customer service, staff would much rather carry on their own conversations...when the new water park opens make sure the staff are properly trained. A smile and good service can make all the difference, even in baking heat and long lines.
It was Sunday when we visited the place and probably that is why it was so uncomfortably crowded. By late afternoon there was thunderstorm so like every other water park the attractions was closed for safety reasons and the crowd significantly reduced. We spend this time eating on a lake deck where we watched huge fishes swimming in water. When rain was finished the attractions were opened again and enjoyed them a lot. One of the greatest on my opinion was the Wash Brain, lazy river also was nice. However I've experienced problem opening my storage box. I found there was many others who had the same problem. A service lady opened my box on my demand but she never asked what was inside and never read the form I filled in for opening. With such attitude I would be concerned about safety of my stuff in the storage box. It would be nice if they replace magnet type keys with finger print recognition systems, like they have in Disney or Universal.
