  • We decided to stop and check out Moss Park just by seeing the sign while in the area. It is a beautiful park. We saw Sandhill Cranes with two babies; they were so cute. The kids had fun on the playgro...  more »

  • Finest campground we've ever visited. You're not on top of each other, making it a more pleasant experience. Lots of shade. Lots of wildlife in the area; sit back and watch them wander through your site. NO DOGS ALLOWED. After all, this campground is part wildlife refuge for sandhill cranes, therefore dogs could potentially injure or kill these large birds. No pool. There are two lakes, but swimming in Florida lakes is never advisable. Lots of nature trails to walk and/or bike. Bathhouses are large and very clean. Sinks on the exterior of the bathhouses are specifically for washing dishes.
  • Great place for family camping. Our kids have a great time here. I'd give it 5 stars if we could bring our black lab. Unfortunately, Moss Park has a no pet policy.
  • Splendid experience. The pavilions are for rent and are really big. I went there with my family and we just used a picnic table and barbeque. The park was very clean and organized and well maintained. I brought kayaks and launched onto the lake.
  • Beautiful area, many cranes. Perfect place for a picnic, or get-together with friends. They have a boating dock and a beach, as well as several volleyball courts. It also seems to be a popular camping destination. All in all, a beautiful place to get out into nature.
  • Moss park is a great park. I have visited this park on a number of occasions including camping and day outings. The facilities are great and it is a beautiful park. They have a playground for the little ones as well as a sand volleyball net for those of you who are into that. The loss of a star is a result of one them we camped there and several of the campsites were half flooded. Luckily it was in September and there was hardly anyone there. The rangers let us switch to a dryer camp site without any issue. However, We could not get a fire to light to save our lives. Everything was soaked clear through so if you plan to make a fire bring your own wood. Also the wildlife is very use to people so don't leave any food out or the raccoons and the sand-hill cranes will have it gone by morning.
