I-Drive’s new $200 million entertainment complex is the latest addition to the world’s most popular family destination. Located in the heart of popular International Drive, the Orlando Eye’s 400 foot iconic observation wheel is the centerpiece of the complex featuring restaurants, clubs, shops and attractions. Joining the Orlando Eye is a spectacular SEA LIFE Aquarium and Madame Tussauds wax attraction.

All three attractions will be operated by Merlin Entertainments. Popular restaurants include Yard House, Buffalo Wild Wings, Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, and Sugar Factory. High energy entertainment will be on tap at Tin Roof and Cowgirls. Complementing the Orlando Eye as a unique feature is the lush courtyard complete with a $1.5 million water show set to music and color-changing lights. Free parking is available in a 1600 space multi-level parking garage. Restaurants open beginning in 2014 with the main opening of the complex scheduled for spring of 2015.

There was lots to occupy your time here. We spent the majority of our time here. This is another spot you don't want to miss. I would even recommend lodging here.  more »

I think it's a great option to stop after a day of park or shopping. Be sure to visit the Ferris wheel, that despite the time she goes very slowly and does not fear any. Then dine at the Shake Shack and pass by shops scattered. Ah lie on the grass and enjoy the Ferris wheel.

It's got great attractons (specially the Orlando Eye and Madame Tusseaud's Museum), many restaurants, good parking lot and a well designed pedestrians area. Don't miss it.  more »

Where to stay in Orlando

Orlando is famous for its high concentration of budget, mid-range, and luxury hotels. The city caters to every tourist's needs, with accommodations ranging from inexpensive hostels and motels to five-star resorts and lavish private villas. Orlando is a busy city all year long, so plan ahead and book your stay well in advance. To avoid the crowds of the big theme parks, consider renting a vacation house or condo just outside the city, or explore one of the area's campgrounds or RV resorts.
