Create an itinerary including Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park
The largest single Disney theme park in the world, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park dedicates more than 200 hectares (500 acres) to the animal conservation philosophy once pioneered by Walt Disney. Divided into seven themed areas, the park blends elements of a theme park and zoo, offering rides through the diverse worlds of wild animals. You can go on a safari through Sahara or navigate a wild river in Asia, surrounded by zebras, lions, tigers, bats, iguanas, giant anteaters, wallabies, and other exotic creatures. Most animals are real, although some are animatronic. The park also offers an adrenaline-junkie's roller coaster, as well as carnival-style rides and games in an area designed to recall the roadside attractions once scattered throughout the country. • I love the rides and all the animals. Although it’s not my favorite park, we still enjoy coming here. We can’t wait to visit next time in Disney.

  • We chose the Kilimanjaro Safari tour for the African animal experience. The habitats replicate natural environments and allow pretty good visual access to the various wildlife. Best to do this as...

  • This is a great park, and that's coming from a Senior Wilderness Explorer! The rides are fun, most notably the Expedition Everest ride. Even the Safari "ride" is great! So many cool animals roaming to see. We easily hot two full days out of this when we decided to complete the Wilderness Explorer badge collection. The park theme in Asia is really well done too!
  • Great experience. All parts are planted beautifully. Lots of shade. The safari and walking tours are great!! Don't miss the new baby gorilla! The Sesame street area and Dinosaur land are great. We finished our day with the Festival of the Lion King show. Great for all ages
  • Such a beautiful park. For me the most relaxing of the Parks. Also contains flight of Passage !! The best simulation ride I've ever been on. Asia was really great and atmospheric while also containing various animals. I will say I wish the lion king had more attractions. Overall this place is a must for Disney and animal lovers. Thrill seekers not so much only ride for you here is Everest.
  • I think this was one of our favorite park, but it's tough to say. We were here 3 times and had a different - always great - experience every time. Pandora was seriously beautiful and I thought the food and drinks there were good enough to go back for. Our group also really liked Flaming Tree and Yak and Yeti for food. We went to the shows for Lion King and Up and both were great! Very entertaining for kids and adults. Plus, the air conditioning for Lion King is awesome! While Everest is an old favorite for rides, our group really liked the safari and Flight of Passage. Make sure to grab fast passes!
  • It's generally great with the Avatar rides, but everything else is just like any other park. There isn't much to do if you're not that much of an animal lover. If you like to be close to birds, go to the Flame Tree BBQ joint on Discovery Island. You'll find birds walking around waiting for their opportunity to nab a bite. They're pretty smart. The last one we saw nabbed a good chunk of pulled port just when someone isn't looking.
