Disney Springs, Orlando
Categories: Gift & Specialty Shops, Shopping
A sprawling shopping, dining, and entertainment area, Disney Springs is an outdoor complex offering free entry and complimentary parking. Separated into three themed sections, the complex includes a large marketplace area, housing the world's biggest Disney store and a Ghirardelli chocolate shop that displays antique chocolate-making equipment. Use the marketplace as the hub of your exploration and download a map to your mobile device to find noteworthy attractions in the other sections, such as an old-fashioned dine-in movie theater or a modern 30-lane bowling alley. End your visit with a ride on a tethered balloon, which provides 360-degree views of the entire resort from a height of 120 m (400 ft). Put Disney Springs into our Orlando holiday planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

Disney Springs really is Disney World for adults. This free park has tons of shops and restaurants and is a great place for a night out on the town. The House of Blues is here as well which always has awesome shows. I highly recommend getting a reservation for meals, as there is typically a very long wait. The service here is excellent and I always have a great time. They recently renovated a large portion of the park and added a spring. Hence the name change to "Disney Springs" from the original Downtown Disney. It's made food traffic a little better and the streets don't get quite as crowded. Definitely get a map. Finding your way can be a little confusing.
There is a lot of construction going on here, but the outcome of the construction that has been finished is amazing, so I'd say that I don't mind it. I'm fine with a couple of buildings closed if it looks nice afterwards. The newer parts of Disney Springs are absolutely amazing. It looks like a little city. I love it. At Disney Springs, the dining choices are unique. Just be prepared to wait to get your food, because there won't be a place you can go that won't have a wait. Disney Springs can be very crowded.
Love the atmosphere, good food and entertainment. My fiance and I went on a hot air balloon ride , it was pretty fun and pretty cheap $18 per person to be exact. One of the captain's who operated the ballon was very friendly, I believe his name was captain Robert. If your looking to do some shopping they also have tons of shops to choose from.
Beautifully refurbished with so many interesting boutiques and restaurants to enjoy. New parking garages are convenient and free! It can get quite hot in the daytime so be prepared or come in the evenings.
One of the coolest places to shop in Orlando! This place is always so clean, employees are friendly and cool, lots of cool restaurants and stores. I love going here with my family and i would recommend going with your family too.
