Discovery Cove, Orlando

4.7
#1 of 1,306 in Beaches in United States
Swim with bottlenose dolphins at Discovery Cove, a theme park that provides a more relaxing experience than the nearby mammoth entertainment complexes. You can interact with exotic birds in the free-flight aviary or explore the tranquil world of private beaches and heated outdoor pools. The park also contains a coral reef, where you can use the provided equipment to snorkel with thousands of tropical fish. To see the park's highlights quickly, take a boat ride down a tropical river running through the aviary and past sandy beaches, waterfalls, and rainforests. The park only admits a limited number of guests each day, so make your reservations well in advance. • Great experience! They kept admission to a limited number leaving plenty of space to enjoy the attractions. Having breakfast, lunch, food, drinks and snacks all included made for a care free day with no worry about getting my wallet for everything. The dolphin swim was Awesome, trainers were friendly, knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend everyone be a good swimmer, the smaller children I saw around the park didn't get to enjoy the full experience. We attended as a family of 5, the youngest being 11, then 15, 19 and my wife and I in our early forties. Wonderful experience for my family!
  • Discovery cove is a fantastic place for a family vacation. We have a 9 yr old and an 18 yr old and they were both super happy they went. With free drinks and food all day long and several memorable activities is a sure place in Orlando to visit. The staff was super friendly and attentive and both the dolphin experience and the lazy river in our family opinion was the best we ever had. We are definitely will be back.
  • Swim with the dolphin is awesome. Personal interaction only last for 5 minutes or less cause there is others in your group. Once it is over the rest is... let me be nice. Coral reef is nice but does not take long. Then the rest is food and drinking. Nothing to see on lazy river and you will rub knees on rocks with no warning often. Sea world is much better!!!! Very disappointment. Will never go back. Don't waste your money. Do the extra adventures at Sea World. There is many things you can pay for there that is much better.
  • This place for me was one of the highlights in Orlando it's a treasure amongst the other theme parks. Get there early then have your breakfast there because food and drink is all inclusive. We did the optional swim with dolphins experience which was fantastic and I highly recommend it. Discovery Cove when we were there never felt over crowded due to the number of people allowed in so after breakfast you can relax grab a sun lounger and go swimming. Our 11 year daughter absolutely loved the coral reef, these are special moments that make a great holiday.
  • Best way to start or finish your vacation. A nice relaxing day. But not a lot to do if you have not paid extra for the Dolphin or diving experience. There is a large salt water pool were you can swim with sting rays and tropical fish. Plus a lazy river that takes about 20 minutes to complete. All drink and food is included in the price but be prepared to Q. Only one big food outlet in the park. I advise you get there early to really enjoy the park. Get your breakfast there.
