  • I hate heights. That being said, knowing I was tethered to the ground gave me the courage to go up. So glad I braved it! The view is awesome. Once is enough for me, but my teens have gone back a few m...  more »
  • balloon flight already? This balloon is must stay in the Disney area Spring makes for a 360o view of the whole area and very safe, the balloon goes up attached to a steel cable and collapsed to the ground.

  • The feeling up to 100 meters high in a large inflated balloon with helium and in view of all the land of Disney, is fantastic, I highly recommend it.

  • Don't waste your time. Florida weather is too unpredictable for a balloon ride (a fact they will pedantically remind you of if you ask for recommendations on when to come.) This isn't operated by Disney, and their customer service makes that readily apparent. Hopefully Disney will boot them out and use the real estate for something that's useful more than 10% of the time.
  • I loved this ride. Mostly because a storm blew in while we were up in the air and the thing was blowing all over the place. Be sure to call or check in advance if it will be operational. Any bad weather will cause it to close.
  • The view of Disney Springs is grass from up here, as long as you can get on. The balloon does have a lot of down time since this is lightning country and it is the tallest object for miles when it's up. If you plan on going up during your trip make sure that your plans are flexible because you may have to come back if there is any lightning in the area.
  • So we have wanted to do this for quite some time, but just keep putting it off. Finally decided to do it (got great deal with groupon), and took the whole fam. The number of people that go up at one time depends on wind speed, so if there's a long line on a windy day it could take forever. The captain was very friendly and funny, but honestly it was a little underwhelming and I would have been mad if I paid full price for the balloon ride. The view wasn't that amazing, and is of course hampered by the fence (though you can get camera lens through it). Maybe it would be better at night? Of course an employee takes a picture of you that you can purchase after the ride. Also it's not a hot air ballon, but rather helium (just FYI). So in short it was okay, but I highly recommend if you plan on going, look for a Groupon.
  • Now this is something that's very unusual for tourists to do. You get a view of Disney that is totally unique. This is just one of the things you just have to do every once and a while to let yourself know you are still alive. Especially if you don't like heights like me!
