  • This is a very cool attraction where you can get a really unique view of the surrounding areas at Disney World. The balloon goes up over 400 feet in the air depending on the weather. I only wish the e...  read more »

  • I was delighted to be able to make this family activity. He was fascinated by our child and we also by the beautiful view at night. It is completely safe because it is surrounded by a network and only fleet, or that it is anchored to the ground. They take a photo before uploading with the globe in the background, which you then delivered by US$ 15, if you wish. We pay US$ 20 to have the digital version also. Something very different to make!

  • So we have wanted to do this for quite some time, but just keep putting it off. Finally decided to do it (got great deal with groupon), and took the whole fam. The number of people that go up at one time depends on wind speed, so if there's a long line on a windy day it could take forever. The captain was very friendly and funny, but honestly it was a little underwhelming and I would have been mad if I paid full price for the balloon ride. The view wasn't that amazing, and is of course hampered by the fence (though you can get camera lens through it). Maybe it would be better at night? Of course an employee takes a picture of you that you can purchase after the ride. Also it's not a hot air ballon, but rather helium (just FYI). So in short it was okay, but I highly recommend if you plan on going, look for a Groupon.
  • Now this is something that's very unusual for tourists to do. You get a view of Disney that is totally unique. This is just one of the things you just have to do every once and a while to let yourself know you are still alive. Especially if you don't like heights like me!
  • The view of Disney Springs is grass from up here, as long as you can get on. The balloon does have a lot of down time since this is lightning country and it is the tallest object for miles when it's up. If you plan on going up during your trip make sure that your plans are flexible because you may have to come back if there is any lightning in the area.
  • I bought a groupon for my son and I to go on since he always asks to go. This past weather in florida was very rainy and the slightest wind they close this down. Everytime I tried to go during the summer it was closed. Unfortunately it expired and they don't care. They could care less, they were always closed due to weather and won't honor the groupon since you obviously can't control the weather. Groupon reached out to these people as well and they don't respond or contact you. They are all pretty rude when you call. I tried even going recently early in the morning when they say they open and they weren't open because of the "wind" which it was sunny and not windy. Very disappointed, especially when they just re-did Downtown Disney, they should just get rid of this since it's never up and running. What's the point.
  • Like some of the other reviewers, I bought a Groupon to try this out with my son. We have annual passes, so we're in the area fairly frequently, and I figured that we should have no trouble going on. Unfortunately, the Groupon was good only during June and July, which meant that there was frequently rain or wind. This inclement weather meant that the balloon was off-line every time we tried to go. I completely understand that they can't fly in bad weather, but I still wanted the opportunity to go up with my son. When I called and spoke to a manager, he wouldn't hear of it. He repeatedly reminded me of the Groupon's expiration date, and of the meteorological considerations. He made excuses over and over that there was nothing he could do, no matter how many times I reminded him that he had every ability to let me and my son ride the balloon. He kept saying that he didn't understand what I wanted from him, and I kept telling him that I wanted him to honor the Groupon that they had been unable to let me use up to that point. He kept responding that they would indeed honor the amount that I had paid for the Groupon, and didn't see why I did not consider that to be any special dispensation, considering as how it qualified as nothing more than promising to honor legal currency. At the end, I made it clear that the point of the Groupon was to give people an opportunity to form a first impression of a business, and that he was forming a terrible one. He continued to have no interest in making things good for his customer who had been inconvenienced. I'd love to tell you whether the balloon ride itself is any good ... but I can tell you that the business itself is apparently run terribly and will treat you the same.
