I don't ever remember reviewing a hotel before my stay was over but this hotel has been exceptional in one key area. The staff are without doubt the best I have ever experienced throughout the whole h... read more »
Staff professional and helpful played two rounds and course was in good shape we played regular front 9 we went off back on the charger course which was in great condition
They put some friends up for the night or 2 and everyone was very happy. Nice to have this option in Bayhill. Who would think of the golf club as a hotel.
Bay Hill Lodge is not for stuffed shirts and persons with their noses in the air. This is a place for people like Arnold Palmer himself. A person grounded in integrity and honor and kindness. We even met him while there and he didn't offer us a brief smile and a scribbled autograph, he sat and talked with us like old friends. What a gentleman he is and this carries through with the staff at the Lodge. Kind, thoughtful and sincere about their goal of making your stay the warmest and best possible. Funny thing is, I'm not a golfer but i was with a group of businessmen who were and they couldn't say enough about the course. They cant wait to return..........and neither can I. I stayed at many golf resorts and Bay Hill is by far my favorite. All of the people complaining about the "resort" ? No where on the website does it say resort. The lodge is small but perfect for a golf trip. The staff is amazingly friendly and courteous. I have stayed there 5 -6 times in the past 2 years and never been disappointed. If you get lucky you may even get to meet Mr. Palmer.
Fabulous golf course. Did not play but attended the Arnold Palmers Invitational (birdees and BBQ).
We stayed here for the first time this past weekend for my birthday and Valentine's Day. My fiancé planned for a special weekend but unfortunately we were highly disappointed with this "resort". The employees were less than friendly. The bellhop who assisted us with our luggage and golf bags couldn't tell us much about the property at all. It took us at least 15 minutes to get a bartender to serve us drinks & her customer service was terrible. We ordered room service & they failed to submit our order and deliver it. They lost our reservation for the second night (which we were actually pleased to get out of there after one night). The spa employees only were "on call" and were less than happy to offer services or share details about their services. The room had a great view but the bathroom didn't appear to be very clean. Overall, I would not recommend this place at all. We hated even having to pay our bill....I have no idea how they get a 4 star rating at this place.
I have read some of the posts on here and some people refer to it as a "resort", it is not! It's a lodge! I have stayed and played here many times and it is one of the MOST comfortable places I have ever stayed at. Just to be clear, I have traveled all over the world! In addition to the wonderfully down to earth feel at home comfortable accommodations it is extremely inexpensive. Love it! Keep it like it is Arnie!
