  • You really need to visit Oriskany when visiting Fort Stanwix. This gives you an additional look at what took place in the Mohawk Valley. You should check this out.  more »
  • It was pouring with rain but we braved the cold and damp and headed to the visitor's center for the battlefield. Pam, the state park ranger, was super informative about the site and also about nearby ...  more »
  • Great rangers at the visitor center. The walking on the grounds is really peaceful. Monument is really cool. Visitor center has a nice display.  more »

  • A must visit for anyone interested in American Revolution period history. The battlefield is much as it was 240 years ago. There are signs indicating where specific incidents happened during the battle and a small visitors centre and book shop. A very knowledgeable ranger/guide gave a great talk about the events leading up to and during the battle as well as the after affects.
  • Nice little park to honor those who passed on these hallow grounds and keep it's history alive. Kept mostly in a natural state so don't expect playgrounds, pavement or other amenities. It is simply what the title implies ... A Battlefield. There are a few unkept Picnic areas but that's about it .
  • One of the most brutal battles of the Revolutionary War was fought here. You can walk the same pathways and forests that the participants of the battle did, really making you feel like you've stepped back in time.
  • Get out and explore our rich history with your family and friends it's a way of preserving it is in our hearts. The Oriskany Battlefield the bloodiest battle but the grounds are so beautiful. They have benches to sit on and to absorb the history and the beauty of this historical park. It's free admission and it in our back yard. So get out enjoy and learn about the Oriskany Battlefield.
  • There's not much to see here. It's nice to read about the village history though. We thought the little shop smelled like mildew and didn't have a great variety of souvenirs.
