  • If you are driving up the 101 it is absolutely worth it to take the scenic route through this park. The trees are huge and its a very straight and peaceful drive. Some very good hikes or pull out spots to look around. Very cool place.
  • An amazing place to visit! The redwoods were amazing to see and hike around. They have great trails that go deep into the forest or smaller easier trails that loop around! Ron and Julie, the forest service rangers were very nice and helpful. They gave us several recommendations as to where to go and even brought out a pair of binoculars so we could view three bull-elk that were across the way, which was great to see!
  • Participates in Humboldt County Edventures. A great way to get the kids out of the house exploring nature. Family friendly
  • A beautiful location for camping! Fern canyon is a must-see if you visit Prairie Creek, although the road to it is rather bumpy.
  • Must see. I did the 11 mile loop that goes to the beach and back, and it was a truly great hike. The trees are the biggest I've ever seen, but unlike other redwood parks, this one is diverse enough to keep you engaged. It's much more than just a whole bunch of trees
