We played both the Lake and the Links course yesterday. The golf courses are superior and maintenance top notch but..... The pace of play was a disaster. On one occasion it had backed up to the point ... more »
My wife and I, together with 2 friends, started the RTJ Trail at this great golf course resort. We played the Lakes (home of PGA's Barbasol Championship) and also tried the Short course too. Both were... more »
We have played some of the RTJ courses, but mostly in the southern part of the state. They are all good courses. Grand National, however, is fabulous. It is beautiful, challenging and was in wonderful... more »
Awesome facility. Two great championship 18s, excellent practice facilities, and the 18 hole short course is not to be missed. Generally in really good shape and a relatively fair test of the game. Green fees a bit pricey but well within what's accepted these days.
I would not recommend having any type of golf tournament here. While it is a nice course, they do not have the work staff or the capacity or the organization to hold many people. Parents had to arrive at the course no later than 4 am just to get a golf cart, no matter what time there child started. Most parents were not able to watch their children play. It's a very long and rigorous course to walk and many were not prepared. We were told we would be put on a "waiting list" and called if a cart became available and we were number told we were the 4th on the list and never received a call or cart. The misinformation and misdirected given to us by the staff was frustrating and exhausting to deal with. I expected more for the Alabama State golf tournament.
A bit "off the beaten path" but great staff, excellent course conditions. Great clubhouse with great place to sit on the veranda for a meal. Beautiful and convenient Marriott hotel right on the property just a couple of minutes from the course.
Good place. The range plan is a good deal for families with young kids or beginners.
The R.T.J Great place Great people Great Golf course. Highly recommended for anyone who loves golf hard but fear course
