About Graber Olive House

Founded in 1894, the historic Graber Olive House is located in a pleasant residential area north of Ontario’s business district minutes from the Ontario International Airport in Southern California.

Upon purchasing land in Ontario in 1892, C.C. (Dad) Graber discovered olives, as cured by the earlier settlers, to be one of the finest food delicacies of California. After study of their method and further research, C. C. Graber cured several barrels of olives using his own “recipe”. The following season a greater quantity was in demand by friends and neighbors who had eaten from the original barrels. Thus began Ontario’s oldest family owned business.

The Graber Groves are now located in the San Joaquin Valley where growing and harvesting is of primary importance. Olives are allowed to mature on the trees to a cherry red color, denoting full tree-ripeness. During the Fall harvest, pickers return to the trees several times, carefully picking only the tree-ripened fruit. After each day’s picking, in the cool of the evening, the olives are hauled by truck to the Olive House for grading, curing and canning.

At peak production, October-December, the historic Graber Olive House pulsates with activities, welcoming new and returning employees to join the full-time staff. Visitors are offered guided tours of the facilities and may browse leisurely in the two gift shops, featuring gift packages of Graber Olives, fine foods and gifts. A mail order catalog is available by request.

Graber Olives continue to be enjoyed by generations throughout the world.

  • This store is AMAZING!! Such a wide variety of crystals, everything you could imagine! Great selection of incense, beautiful clothing, all sizes of Mala beads, and great trinkets! Steven is awesome and can answer any question you have and will set you in the right direction. The meditation room at the back of the store is peaceful and inviting. A true gem of the store in the Airtight!!
  • The history and the wonderful staff. I was granted a tour of their production line. The old machinery/ way of doing things is very cool.
  • Delicious olives and a nice gift shop
  • Family and I took a psychic paranormal tour there for Friday the 13th. We were really excited for the tour until the "psychic" began the tour n hardly conducted the tour but basically stood around playing with her phone and talked with her bf, who by the way claimed he was a psychic too but didnt say one psychic word out of his mouth the entire time. He instead rudely and obnoxiously interrupted her half the time about random things and screaming n hollering across the room. It was quite annoying. I've been on paranormal tours before with psychics and I can honestly say that the female psychic was a first that I believe wasnt a real psychic. They definitely didnt know how to be tour guides and completely came unprepared. Very disappointed. Next time I want to try the investigation tour. The tour guide looked like they were conducting the tour the entire time n the customers looked like they really were enjoying themselves. I give 4 stars because I truely believe I would have had a really great time if their was a "real" and professional psychic.
