  • We did the walk up to Hurricane Hill. The first part is pretty flat and then the "fun" begins. Although it was a good workout for us, we felt it was worth the walk to the hill. We saw lots of deer and...  more »
  • If you forget the right attire this is a rest place to scoop up a long sleeve shirt or a jacket as the temps rapidly drop as you climb the mountain! Clean restrooms, a small cafe for breakfast & sandw...  more »
  • We were here yesterday, June 30, 2018, and it was so uncrowded in the afternoon that we felt like we had the place to ourselves. We walked around all of the paths right by the visitors center spending...  more »

  • Spectacular views !!! All the way from the ticketing center to reach the mountain.. plan your schedule by checking the website for the road conditions..Due to heavy snow it might have closed.. but we traveled on a sunny day , what a joy to see those beautiful views.. :) also it's having skiing area, skiing school, food , coffee.. Plan your day!
  • Perhaps one of my most favorite and cherished mountain visitor centers, Hurricane Ridge is a feast for the eyes and an equalizer for the senses. It has a way about it that both humbles and inspires — humbled by the sheer size and majesty of the Hurricane Ridge, but inspired by its beauty to create, to savor our world, and to protect this pale blue dot that we inhabit. The visitor’s center itself has all the basic amenities — gift shop, snacks, restrooms, and plenty of tourists. Do yourself a huge favor and get off the pavement to the more beaten paths and trails and explore this wondrous gem in the Pacific Northwest.
  • One of the most spectacular locations in the United States. An amazing confluence of mountain, forest, and coastal views in one spot. The weather can be treacherous--but if you catch it in a sunny day, there are few destinations more beautiful. Great views of the Olympic Range; Puget Sound; Strait of Juan de Fuca; Victoria Island; and even Victoria, British Columbia. Highly recommend visiting here if you are in the Seattle area and want to take an excursion.
  • Takes a bit of time to get to, but the views are gorgeous. Most of the trails are pretty tame, but there appears to be at least one running along the tops of the mountain ridges for miles. Cannot wait to go back
  • Glorious views, close encounter with wildlife, ranger led walks and easy access to trails. During the winter months, super fun place to play in the snow. Be prepared to be there early, parking is extremely limited.
