  • This is the first farmers' market I've ever been to that doesn't allowed dogs. This is kind of surprising because Washington State, in general, is a pretty dog friendly place. I get that it's the orga...  more »

  • Lots of vendors selling excellent quality, local food and goods. Yummy food vendors. Usually some music on the stage by local musicians or school groups. Love the marimbas! Because it's covered it's a great shopping location year round. I think it beats many Seattle farmers markets in atmosphere and ability to navigate to the vendors even on a busy Saturday. My most favorite farmers market out of everywhere I have lived in the Pacific Northwest!
  • Open air market with plenty of reputable local vendors. Live music during the entire time the market is opened. The sheltered market has a variety of fruits and vegetables, meats and bakery goods, arts and crafts, plants and cheeses. Parallel to the shelter are a row of food stands, so many great choices! Pets will need to stay at home or in the car. Highly recommended to visit!
  • Large crowds so I'm sure the vendors were pleased but most of them seemed to be too busy "doing their own thing" to answer questions or greet us as we approached their booths. Prices were, for the most part, STEEP. While the produce might be fresher than the grocery stores, those of us on a very limited income can't really afford to blow all our money on a pound of apples.
  • I enjoy a nice stroll through the farmers market every weekend. There is everything you need here I just gives you a good feeling to know that you're buying local. They have every type of vendor you could possibly imagine from Handmade cards & notes, The lavender girl, The plant lady, The sheet metal art guy, lots of food vendors, a couple of photographers, lots of handmade clothing, jewelry and purse vendors, A butcher a baker (3) and a candlestick maker! They have a delicatessen, a chocolate purveyor, A honey gal, a Palm reader and a Tarot card reader and an On-the-spot Poetry maker. You can even buy homemade doggie biscuits or ice cream and there's even a balloon maker. And as a market, of course they sell tons of veggies, cheeses and eggs from local farmers. And we are not in Kansas anymore... of course they sell Salmon!!! You can sit and enjoy your food with all of the tables located under the music roof and listen to the music or just people watch if that's what you're into. Lots of parking outback, clean restrooms, ADA compliant. You can expect to be here for 1 to 2 hours. Call for hours and music schedule.
  • For some reason I never visited this place even though I've lived in Olympia for a year. I came from Seattle so I was expecting it to be pretty small and overcrowded like the farmer's market in my neighborhood there. The Olympia farmer's market was great! When I went there was some great entertainment, not sure if that's a regular thing but it was just such a great atmosphere!
