  • This place was a great find! We stopped in after hiking in the Moran State Park for a quick snack. We had fresh oysters, steamed crab, smoked salmon, smoked cod and a parmesan flat bread. They teach you how to shuck the oysters and then let you go to town. The smoked fish with the flat bread crisp was my favorite part. They let us bring our own beer and even have us some frosty mason jars. You also receive a bucket to place empty shells, which they later dump back into the water! This place is highly recommend. In fact, I would love some of that salmon this very moment.
  • We went back two days in a row with a different staff both times. And both times they were equally very friendly and laid back. We brought a bottle of wine and they provided chilled glasses at no charge. The oysters grown in Buck Bay are fantastic but they offer variety and today offered an incredible marionette that we will never forget. I'll recommend this as the first place to go on Orcas till I die.
  • An oasis on an already amazing island, BBSF takes you were you'll feel welcomed and special with every farm raised Buck Bay oyster you enjoy. A new tradition for sure, the people, the service, the view and the food. We'll be back!!
  • Feel like a local in this relaxing atmosphere with welcoming staff. Super fresh non-fishy smelling oysters pair perfectly with the bring-your-own wine and bread. Our oyster-hostess was pleasantly patient in demonstrating to a few newbies how to chuck! Definitely a second visit is due and worth the travel!
  • Buck Bay Shellfish Farm is the BEST place to go on Orcas Island!! Our family of 6 (parents and 4 adult kids) were on Orcas Island for a week and visited Buck Bay at least 4 times. Kelly was wonderful at teaching us how to shuck our own oysters. We had fun picking up oysters, clams or fresh fish to take back to our rental home to cook. We also enjoyed eating at Buck Bay - with a bottle of wine and chilled glasses provided! The atmosphere is delightful with the bay views, colorful buoys , roaming chickens and fresh oysters. The staff is very accommodating, cheerful and helpful. We highly recommend Buck Bay to anyone coming to Orcas island!!
