  • I played here for a charity tournament and had a great time. The course is challenging and fun. Good layout for all skill levels. The staff at the course was wonderful! Will return and play again.
  • We have a group of 16 guys that travel every year to play a Ryder Cup golf match over a 4 day span in the fall. This October we chose Hermitage. We stayed in the new cabins. The cabins were spacious a...  more »

  • We were on our way back from Florida to Chicago and wanted to play golf. I looked up golf courses in Nashville and the Hermitage appeared to be the best in the area. The gentleman in the pro shop was very accommodating, super friendly, and even got us towels to take a shower. Practice area was very nice. The starter/cart attendants were rude. I walked up and ask them which cart do I take. Told them my name and they told me they didn't have my name. After some back and forth they gave me a cart. I guess loading bags is "self service". We played Greneral Retreat The greens were punched 1 month prior. They healed perfectly. Probably some of the best and most undulating greens I've ever played. I give the greens a 5 star rating. The rest of the course was blah. Every hole appeared similar. I hear the Presidents is supposed to be much nicer. It took us 5 hrs to play (cart paths only and very wet). I don't think Generals is a $64 a round golf course. If your looking for great greens this is a course for you. If your looking for a pristine condition course this is not worth it. Overpriced
  • When you have no problem paying 70$ to golf but bc I don't travel with my clubs they force you to rent garbage clubs, missing clubs, mixed with lefty and right clubs, instead of just letting you use your partner's clubs is bull. Its not that great of a course to enforce that, maybe 15$ for rentals but 50$ for rentals makes them theives
  • I really do like the course, President Reserve, the greens were in good shape and quick. For December it is really disappointing the amount charged for the round, a bit soggy so cart path only and had to be lift/clean/place all round. The course offers nice challenges and nice scenery. Cost prohibitive. The only discount is after 2 and that only gives 2 1/2 hours of daylight. Very light play on a mid-50's temperature day in late December just makes me believe the course doesn't want to be busy for this time of year. Suggestion to course is some seasonal discounts that make sense, maybe a little earlier twilight or some other offer. If I wasn't entertaining a friend/customer then I could have had 4 people play for less than the two of us there and would have been about the same conditions. The course is nice but not double or more the cost of other public courses nice.
  • It was a bit fun, but I'm not much of a golfer.
  • Favorite place to kick back and enjoy the day! Beautiful course!
