  • Real history with friendly knowledgeable folk. This site takes you back to the times they share. On Sundays folks show up to play mountain music. Love this place!
  • Great place to learn some history, needs more about the town itself and less about the county, it is in old fort,
  • Not to bad for a free museum. Nice place to take a short break.
  • Part of the NC Museum network it has a real log home inside to show you how small homes were years ago. Also you can find a real still (of course not working) setup and a lot of local history. Part of their train exhibit is over in the old train station so make sure to go there too just a block away. The setting along the creek with two real log cabins on the campus.
  • Great place to take photos and walk the dog
