Will Rogers Park, Oklahoma City

4.1
#5 of 8 in Parks in Oklahoma City
More than a City park, the Will Rogers Gardens is one of Oklahoma City's oldest and most historic parks. These 30 acres of pristine landscape feature the Charles E. Sparks Color Gardens, the Margaret Annis Boys Arboretum, Will Rogers Garden Exhibition Center and Ed Lycan Conservatory.

Throughout the year, Garden staff provides hands-on gardening and horticulture classes to visitors of all ages. Programs focus on simple "how-to" instruction for gardening and home landscape.

The gardens are owned and staffed by the City of Oklahoma City Parks & Recreation Department.

  • Beautiful park, friendly Squirrels. They don't want you to feed the wildlife, but when they come begging with those big doe eyes, you just can't help it. So visit Will Rodgers park. You won't be disappointed.
  • This park is absolutely beautiful. I can see why people come here for photoshoots. I don't think I've ever been in a more gorgeous park! However, I'm confused about the closing time on weekends, particularly Fridays and Saturdays. Security informed us at a quarter to 5 that they were closing up, but that closing times would resume to normal the next day. My question is: what is normal closing?
  • Awesome place. Hosted a 50th birthday party here. Super reasonable pricing. Will be back when we need something in this area. The security deposit of $300 does seem a bit steep though. Staff is prompt and helpful. Beautiful gardens - just not this time of year.
  • Visit this park quite often. My kids play Pokemon Go and there are many things in the game that you can do here. As an adult I notice the beautiful grounds with well manicured flower beds, trees, and shrubbery with walking paths between them. There is also a public pool, playground, tennis facility and a senior's center.
  • My kids play Frisbee golf there and they love it. I grew up in that area used to swim in a swimming hole creek best times of my life
