  • Oklahoma has a very interesting history, with interesting lessons for all of us. However, this museum did not fulfill its potential. Major events such as the Trial of Tears, the Land Rush, the Dust Bo...  more »
  • The Oklahoma History Center had a handful of very distinct and interesting collections. Visitors get a great look at pieces from Oklahoma's past.  more »
  • We stopped here on Labor Day and the facility was almost completely empty. I am amazed at all of the items that are contained within this museum. You can learn about native-Americans, lawmen, outlaws,...  more »

  • The Oklahoma History Center is a great place to visit. They have a brand new building now, that is much better than the old one. You can spend hours in here doing research or just looking at the displays. Every time I come here, I discover something new. I think you will enjoy it.
  • Very difficult to figure out. The cafe was closed as well. Rooms do not indicate the displays, just the names of doners. For the most part, it is essentially a tribute to all the influential people who have made contributions to Oklahoma but not a complete Oklahoma History. Where is the mention of Geronimo, Quanah Parker, Indian boarding schools, imprisonment, Buffalo Soldiers? Why does Douglas High School get such a large display but I saw nothing about Deep Deuce, Boley, Tulsa Race Riots, this is not the Oklahoma City history center. I learned a lot about the Diffee family. Many of the displays were typeset so small they were not easy to read. Some of the objects were placed so low, only a child could see them easily. I'm addition there was a typo of the word Earth in the Native American display. The languages and videos in that section were wonderful!
  • Visited the Museum on a trip across the country, was a wonderful little slice of history! We loved the Century Chest Exhibit especially. Had some delicious wraps at the cafe on the third floor as well
  • Wonderful look at the history of our great state! Lots of neat things to see and several interactive exhibits. Fun for all ages.
  • Good space exhibit and Native American gallery. Awesome research room for genealogists!
