See the exotic species, marvel at the butterfly exhibit, and enjoy the botanical garden at Oklahoma City Zoo. Along with animals from all over the world like tigers, elephants, and giraffes, the zoo hosts a wide selection of species native to Oklahoma, from bears and alligators, to birds and bats. You can walk around, hop on one of the train rides, or take a boat tour on Zoo Lake. The zoo especially focuses on opportunities for children to learn about wildlife while playing and interacting with the animals. During the hot summer months, a lot of the activities include splashing water, so consider bringing a spare set of clothes for the kids. • Clean and tidy, many fine animals and the right amount of people. We got to see some great birds being fed and got a lot of info. To buy a full ticket to get access to everything, such as feeding the birds, which we had to do. You will then get a cup with food and the birds landing on the hands and shoulders and eats. Very fun.

  • While I find zoos a little sad, this zoo is great. I like the elephant exhibit, because it looks like they are genuinely trying to give them a good home. Love the bear exhibit, and chips too. I visite...  more »
  • We went to the zoo with friends from Canada, had a great time the weather was comfortable and several of the big cats were out and walking around. It was one of the best time we had at the zoo.  more »

  • We love the okc zoo! Whether you have kids or not, it's a lovely place to visit. Prices for entry aren't bad, but of course food/beverages are pretty pricey. No one will care if you bring in your own drinks though. They do a great job maintaining a wide array of climate appropriate plants. A lot of employees are undergrad and grad students interning as part of their education, which is great. Make sure to catch some of the elephant shows!
  • Park lacks "flow" between exhibits and lacks a "correct direction. Aquarium was totally shutdown with the exception of the seal and sea lion exhibit. Had some really unique, interactive elements that my wife and I loved. There is a zoo hospital where park goers can view animals under surgery or examination. There are also exposure areas where patrons can get into the exhibit with birds or wallabies.
  • Pleasantly surprised by the OKC Zoo. It's a well-kept, well-maintained facility. I certainly won't claim to be a zoo expert, but after taking my daughter, I left impressed. Lots of different areas, including a kids area which was great. Not a vast food selection, but certainly adequate, and fairly priced. Worth joining the Zoo Friends.
  • The Oklahoma City Zoo is one of the best in the country. My parents first took me there when I was 4 years old, and I have been going back ever since. I am now 66. The displays are marvelous, the animals are fantastic, and the exhibits are artfully done. There is a tram to take you around to various places, so you don't have to do a lot of walking. There is a butterfly garden, a seal performance and much much more.
  • The zoo is a fun visit. Lots of cool animals and happy people. It's clean, safe and well cared for. It's much bigger than it appears. Giraffes rock!!
