(1,400+ reviews on the web)
Zoo / Aquarium Nature / Park
See the exotic species, marvel at the butterfly exhibit, and enjoy the botanical garden at Oklahoma City Zoo. Along with animals from all over the world like tigers, elephants, and giraffes, the zoo hosts a wide selection of species native to Oklahoma, from bears and alligators, to birds and bats. You can walk around, hop on one of the train rides, or take a boat tour on Zoo Lake. The zoo especially focuses on opportunities for children to learn about wildlife while playing and interacting with the animals. During the hot summer months, a lot of the activities include splashing water, so consider bringing a spare set of clothes for the kids. Oklahoma City Zoo is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our online itinerary creator, Oklahoma City Edition.

  • The OKC Zoo is a great zoo. Go early in the morning to get the best view of the animals in cooler temperatures. In the middle of the summer, midday temperatures can get very hot and the animals may be...  more »

  • Low entry price compared to other large zoos across the nation. I found out why, too.. they charge $2-$10 for just about anything extra that you want to do inside. So $8 a person quickly turns into $50 if you don't purchase the more expensive entry option. Overall, a pretty good zoo. There are a good number of animals across the board from bats and fish to giraffes and elephants. Everything in between, too. The maps they hand out seem simple enough but the trails twist and turn so much that we got lost multiple times. Took 30 minutes of searching to find the bears even with a map in our hands. For anyone who is curious.. a single seat stroller costs $8 to rent and sits so low to the ground that kids can't see most of the animals without picking them up out of it. So bring your own if you have one!
  • Very nice zoo. Good prices. However I do not recommend going on a Saturday. Very very busy. The zoo is great for children, has a bunch of different playgrounds and other things to do other than just seeing animals. They have very cool animals as well. It is a very big zoo. Be prepared to walk a lot.
  • What a great place to spend the day with family and friends! This is a very decently priced zoo with many attractions, this made for a great date-day. Exhibits are well maintained, the animals are not exotic, but they are well-cared for and their habitations are spacious. This is really is a decent size zoo for filling a day.
  • It was a very home style type of buffet. It was a family environment as well. Do not expect them to be like any other Buffet it's like going to your family reunion with a buffet in the center. Hispanic/Mexican style. Please prepare yourself with cash to make transactions easier. Please leave a tip as well.
  • We try to always keep an annual family membership which covers 2 adults and 5 kids. Visiting in the summer is always fun. We always go to the cat forest then off to see the elephant show or walk the Oklahoma trail. We like to visit the petting zoo and mini river play area mid-day so the kids have time to dry before getting back in the car.
