Inspirock Rating:
4.4/5 based on 1,300+ reviews on the web
See the exotic species, marvel at the butterfly exhibit, and enjoy the botanical garden at Oklahoma City Zoo. Along with animals from all over the world like tigers, elephants, and giraffes, the zoo hosts a wide selection of species native to Oklahoma, from bears and alligators, to birds and bats. You can walk around, hop on one of the train rides, or take a boat tour on Zoo Lake. The zoo especially focuses on opportunities for children to learn about wildlife while playing and interacting with the animals. During the hot summer months, a lot of the activities include splashing water, so consider bringing a spare set of clothes for the kids. Oklahoma City Zoo is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our online itinerary creator, Oklahoma City Edition.

  • Visited many times growing up. Always had fun. Visited recently with my son and 4yo granddaughter and enjoyed it on an entirely different level. The grounds are beautiful. The enclosures are well done. Staff was very friendly. We will return.
  • We love our Zoo!! I got a membership this year and it has been worth it! Everytime we go, I find a new exhibit or area I didn't know about. They have great workers there too, very friendly and social. We love feeding the lorikeets! The Children's Zoo is so much fun! My kids love brushing the goats in the petting zoo! And the walking creek and splash pad is a blast!
  • The zoo is awesome although we made the mistake of getting the "zoo it all" bracelets thinking it meant getting to do all of the stuff like it says online "admission, all rides and attractions, all feedings, all shows!" doesn't mention that it doesn't include the Wild Encounters. Spent $40 on those to get to do nothing we wanted to do. Made us very upset. But there are lots of places to sit, misters, fountains, and shade for hot days. A nice playground and a great kids area with a splash pad. Tons of animals. The keeper connection things are free and are informative. Getting to play with the lorikeets was fun and kids love getting to feed the giraffes although get there early cause there is a long line.
  • Nice, easy walking zoo. Pathways are not too strenuous for walking but would have been more comfortable on a cooler day. Be sure to bring water. Staff was very friendly and kind at every location we stopped. The tram was a bit difficult to use to get around because there were no seats available and only two trams were running on a very busy day.
  • Love this zoo!! Wonderful place to spend the day! You can bring your own picnic lunch too! Very nice! Good playgrounds for the kids to run around on and so many animals to see! Something for everyone to enjoy and learn. Must try the Stingray Bay and the Sea Lion show - both are great!
