Housing the world's largest collection of glass sculptures by artist Dale Chihuly, Oklahoma City Museum of Art brings art to life in the city's renowned downtown arts district. Although it covers a period of nearly 500 years, the museum's collection is especially strong in European and American art of the 19th and 20th centuries. Spread across three floors, the permanent exhibit space displays works by Alexander Calder, Henry Moore, Georgia O'Keefe, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Charles Wilson Peale, and Gustave Courbet. The museum also houses a theater that screens international, independent, and classic films. Finish your visit with a meal at the museum's full-service restaurant, which offers a menu inspired by French cuisine. • I went for a lecture that sold out in 30 minutes. I was very impressed at how quickly the lobby was set up for tie-in for the overflow patrons who were admitted for free. That is customer service. Kudos!!
  • Wife and I toured and enjoyed ourselves. It is not the NYC MET Museum, so don't expect a grand experience like that. However it was enjoyable none the less, especially being it was only $12 dollars to get in. Would recommend this museum to anyone.
  • The collection of Dale Chihuly’s Glass work is impeccable. Really amazing. But other collections are just okay. Before coming, remember to check if you are a BOA card holder so that you might be able to visit it for free on first week of each month and they always have discounted tickets on Groupon. There is a theatre inside for indie movie. Haven’t tried.
  • This is such a great museum. I love the standing exhibits, and I've gotten to attend a few of the special exhibits, too. One of my favorites was the clothing of film stars. Fascinating.
  • Beautiful museum. My husband and I visited to see the Kehinde Wiley exhibit - breathtaking. The large paintings were displayed beautifully with good lighting. We visited other floors of the museum, including the Chihuly exhibit. I have never seen Chihuly pieces up close, and their display was very well done. A wonderful, unforgettable experience.
