  • We love going to the civic center for plays, orchestral performances, or musicals. The only two things I'd like to see improved is better/more parking (maybe dedicated parking for patrons only) as otherwise it is sometimes necessary to park several blocks away (and pay for said parking). The other is that I would like to see a better selection at the bar there (wine selections are atrocious).
  • Great place to see a local show. We watched the color purple and could clearly see the stage and the music and vocals were well balanced. Would recommend for future shows.
  • First time experience... easy to get to, free parking close (after 6 on the street) or a couple of parking lots very near--charging $10).. its a beautiful venue. We saw Mannheim Steamroller this evening. Awesome! Our seats were mezzanine, center... really fine view and the sound was great. Our seats were fairly comfortable as in they did not distract us from the concert. The rows are a bit narrow but didn't cause any problems for us. We drove from a couple of hours away so we wish there had been food vendors inside (like at the BOK center in Tulsa) You could get beverages and snacks on the main floor, but not really dinner fare. Minor thing, tho. It won't keep us from wanting to see another production or concert there. Only negative... a couple to our right whipped out their cell phones to take pics/record. Really?! Not cool... fortunately there was an usher right behind who explained that cameras/photography/videos are not allowed during a performance. It is very rude to use a cell phone during a concert, play or move (etc)
  • It was filled with fun things to do and the lights were absolutely beautiful. I love Oklahoma but it is SUPER COLD!!! I'm not really used to being in the cold that often.
  • We watched "Rent". The production was good. The facilities (carpet, chairs, bathrooms, etc. ) are old, stained, and dirty though and need a good, professional cleaning or replacement. The staff is helpful and available to direct as needed without any problems.
