  • This extensive, epic and muscular array of lifelike but giant sculptures vividly tells the story of the Land Run, a part of local history of which I was unaware until I encountered this display.  more »

  • In 1889, a pistol shot was heard, a whistle blew, and tens of thousands of hopeful people raced across the Prairie to stake a claim in what would become Oklahoma territory. This Monument is a memorial of those Brave Pioneers who struggled to establish a home here in Oklahoma. They came from all over the country, and even from foreign countries, hoping to find a place to call home.
  • A great set of statues to end our OKC canal river walk experience. They are well-detailed, and have some historical information regarding the land rush races that were run during the homesteader era. Oh, and it is worth it to see one statue out of the group racing for a land grab. One poor guy's horse falters and he is about to face plant. They are all very well-done statues in the group, though, and capture the emotion of that moment racing for one's livelihood on the plains.
  • It's easy to park and walk right up to these very impressive sculptures. You can take the walking path over the canal or around the end of it to get to the statues on the other side of the water.
  • Impressive statue-art of the Oklahoma Land-Race. I overheard there are 40 individual figures and they are intending to add to the collection.
  • Oklahoma City Land Rush Monument is beautiful. You can see it from the Water Taxi from Bricktown and get a little information on the artist. We also drove dowwn by Bass Proshop and under the bridge to see the Statues. But to walk up and see the statues in person is awesome. The bronze statues are created 1 1/2 times the size of a normal person. The details that are added are insane to see #oklahomacity #brickhtown #gopro
