The Middle Harbor Trail skirts the southern edge of the Middle Harbor game sanctuary and includes a stop at a bird observation blind. The short Blackberry Trail near the camp check-in station invites campers to enjoy a pleasant evening stroll. • I didn't camp or go to the beach but just went to the east lot and took a nice walk. I sat on a bench near the water and watched a few boaters jump in and splash around. I had a little picnic lunch an...  more »

  • Just returned home today from our first trip to East Harbor and we had a great time, everyone from the staff to other campers were incredibly friendly and helpful. Enjoyed long walks with our dog and fishing off the break wall and the sunshine and the full moon. Great rates for Sunday through Thursday with our Golden Buckeye card. The facilities were impeccable, bathrooms spotless and the showers were awesome! We are definitely coming back again and again this summer and fall. I totally recommend this park for anyone!!
  • Best beach in Ohio. The beach is long and has fine sand. The slope is very gentle not steep at all. One can walk quite far in water. There are stone barriers to suppress the waves. Water remains calm and nice all day. Shower facility is just as it should be. There are no closed shower rooms. There are trees along the beach if one doesn't want to be in bare sun. I find it the best in Ohio and i believe lake water is much better than sea to be in. Doesnt hurt if some of it gets in eye or swallowed accidentally
  • Enormous campground, great walking/hiking trails along the water. Lovely place to spend the night (I stayed on the last weekend of the season, so didn't experience the summertime crowds).
  • The BEST state park! The campground is great, safe and a nice place to stay. The showers are very clean and hot, the camper hosts are helpful as well as all the employees. The beach is great and the water is clean. FYI if you take a right away from the beach and go to the end of the parking lot, follow the long trail (about 10mins) and you will reach a great beach! It's a hidden gem if you ask me. A decent amount of people are out there and it is great! Will camp here every year and we love it!
  • This is a camper's state park. Very clean. Lots of sites (mostly elec only; no water) Looks like more full-hook-ups on the way. Excellent layout. Access to fishing. Nice picnic areas. A few short trails which are nicely maintained. At least 1 showerhead is like a pressure washer. Firewood was a bit green. But ultimately a really nice state park.
