  • everything is made in house. been there for over 70 years. right on rte. 1 in center of town. try the fruit slices and the dark chocolate non parels. cannot be beaten anywhere.
  • The cashew bark that we bought here was truly outstanding. Yum! The crowds can be a bit intimidating, but it was worth the wait.
  • Very good (but expensive) chocolates sold by the pound by friendly staff. They also had prepackaged samplers of all sizes and various sized bags if nonpareils, malt balls, chocolate covered nuts, choc...  more »

  • My daughter and I LOVE this store! We both have gluten and dairy allergies and we were thrilled to find that their chocolates are all gluten free and some are vegan as well!!
  • I visited the Harbor Candy Shop for the first time two weekends before Easter. The Easter treats looked sweet and delicious, as did every single candy in the glass cases. The atmosphere was bustling, the inside is rustic and homey, and both customers and staff smiled and seemed happy. I purchased Milk Caramallows. Each component melted in my mouth. Heaven. I purchased a box of sugar-covered jellies, made with real juice. They are very full of mouth-watering juicy flavor and can easily be stretched by cutting each square in halves or quarters. Yes, the prices are high. Yes, the candy is amazing. Yes, I am fine with spending extra on a fabulous product that is made in the USA. :) Love the Harbor Candy Shop and will visit again.
  • Home made candies. Large selection. Great sugar free chocolate.
  • Legit old candy shop where you can see where they make it and almost everything is made in house. Very cool.
  • I can't go within 50 miles of Ogunquit without stopping at the Harbor Candy Shop. As soon as I enter the store I stand for a few seconds at the door and take in that incredible aroma that comes from every direction. There are few things in life that are truly worth waiting for. The delights that await you in this place are surely one of those things. I can't begin to describe the taste sensations on every shelve, in every bin, behind every glass case that await you but rest assured that even the most finicky of chocolate connoisseurs will find something to delight the senses and rejuvinate the body and soul. I know I'm making this sound like a religious experience but take it from me, when you're feeling down visit this oasis and I promise you that the moment you enter your troubles will melt away and an inner peace will decend upon you. I often dream about the raspberry baskets, black currant cups, heavenly fudge, nut wreaths, truffles, fruit bark, orange zest cremes, mocha cups, caramallows, peanut butter cups (with real peanut butter!) and the countless other treats that await you there. And the best thing is if you can't get there in person you can order all this stuff online! Some reviewers have complained about the prices. Seriously, what price do you put on a product that improves the quality of life? Believe me, it's a small price to pay. I can't wait until my next visit!
