The experience was shocking and the instructor was useless, he nearly shot himself in the foot ! it was rubbish experience wouldn't recommend it
I visited with my boyfriend who always wanted to visit a shooting range. The staff were beyond helpful. I wasn't keen on taking part but they put me at ease. We both had a fantastic day out and will v... read more »
On a whim, my grown daughter and I decided to try a shooting range while on vacation. The staff put us in contact with their instructor, Heidi and her husband Rocky, who were able to meet us the same ... read more »
Been to a few gun ranges and shops in san diego and north county area. By far like this place the most. The staff doesn't have the "if you don't know, don't ask me" attitude that I have found with other gun shops. Oh and yes the range is open till 10pm, everyday. Keep it up iornsights!
For being in southern California I'm not expecting a lot with the range, which isn't bad for what their working with, the prices are good as well for gun rentals. But my major complaint is the "supervisor" they had for the shooters that day, I went in with my girlfriend, and our friend to shoot our new shotguns and was trying to teach her how to use the shotgun, he watched us take them out of the case and when I start explaining it to her and showing her the various parts, he comes up and gets in my face like he's trying to establish himself as the alpha male in the pack, telling me "no weapons manipulation behind the firing line" its called teaching you idiot, and even when I played along he kept doing it and threaten to kick us off the range. I don't care if your a 40 year old man working at a gun store/shooting range, you do not automatically know everything. I walked in happy and left furious at the level of disrespect he showed us. I would give this place a 1 star if it weren't for the other people working there who were very nice and professional. That supervisor didn't just ruin my day, he ruined my week.
Not a terrible place to shoot. Usually crowded and the staff is "too busy" to really help you out or answer many questions. Lobby is rather small which makes the crowding issue worse. Range fees were pretty good and was even worth getting a range card. Not bad at all but could be better.
This place is busy, so get over it. Range fees are reasonable. Staff are very helpful, obviously sometimes they are just hustling to keep the flow going so cannot spend too much time chit chatting. Overall they are really helpful. The last time I took a beretta 9mm, I told staff that it was not my gun and was not sure when it was last used. He racked the slide and determined that it needed some oil, otherwise it would keep jamming. He oiled the slide, checked it once again and sent us off to our lane. I thought that was very cool of him.
It's a great range with a couple of drawbacks that prevent me from giving it more stars. The Good: Large selections of guns and ammo to purchase/rent, super reasonable range fees, plenty of lanes, and friendly services. The Bad: Small and crowded inside, and air-handlers that don't adequately remove the gun smoke. It was a real pleasure shooting here, but the small, smoky space may get to you.
