Up here looking for a nostalgic stove/oven replacement for our beach cottage in Long Beach. They have a reasonable selection of stoves and ranges, however just not what we are looking for. Very helpfu... more »

Jacks in Ocean Park is the oldest retail establishment in WA, having opened before WA became a state. When the clamshell railway opened in 1889 on the Long Beach peninsula, Ocean Park was the end of t... more »

I thought this was only a grocery store, but discovered it was much more: sporting goods, hardware, appliances, magazines, toys, bike supplies. You name it, Jack's got it and besides food prices being a little higher out here on the peninsula, general goods were very reasonably priced. I was exceptionally impressed with their world class selection of nuts, bolts and fasteners which I needed. This is a better choice than I have at a Home Depot in Boise!

Great store for many years but has very recently seemed to update their stock quite a bit. Still has a lot of old charm but now you can find find all kinds of new stuff here. More store brand products, more 'hip' beverages and 'cool'' snacks, and a new liquor section. It's been awhile since there has been an option down the peninsula like this. Prices are competitive and they don't gouge you for being at the beach.

This is one place you simply must visit at least once. We frequent the peninsula fairly regularly and always frequent Jacks when we're in town. I can't really do it justice in a review, other than to say you'll probably never find a department store with as great a selection than Jack's both in hardware as well as in food. I have more stuff floating around my house from Jacks than I care to admit. And don't forget to view the public bulletin board near the entry. Well worth the glance - last time I looked I saw a flyer for a world famous Barbie collection on sale for $10K!!

Definitely a great place to stop and shop has so much old time trinkets and quality. However, there seems to be a huge disconnect between the product and their salesmanship service. Bring back the charm!

This place has all kinds of cool & weird stuff on top of the things that are super useful. We stop by here when we're on the peninsula if we need anything, and we always spend some time wandering the aisles.
