  • About 20 miles south of Oakley branches left a gravel road to the monument rocks off. Distance from Hwy 83 about 8 miles one way. These peculiar rocks are not visible from the street. You drive this track anyway, then this small definitely worth. There to see anything else there besides this rock but the grounds are privately owned The visit at sunrise and sunset would be ideal. There are no mountains, which obscure the view in this Prairie. You must drive not the same way back to Hwy, but simply continue along the gravel road until you reach again for another 8 miles to Hwy. Still the Keystone Gallery is just across Hwy. Chuck Bonner and his wife Barbara have issued various exhibits on fossil animals. Also many stones can be admired. Chuck gladly tells about his life, his hobbies and travel.
