  • We came in by boat. Lots of parking for cars and a few slips for boats. Great places to eat! Very large farmers market on Sundays.  more »
  • Jack London Square is a quaint area full of diversity and restaurants row. Bowling alley and arcade for kids to enjoy with a beer/wine patio for adults. Recommended  more »
  • Jack London Square is Oakland's premier waterfront location. It's still in it's revitalization process. Very beautiful and great restaurants.  more »

  • Very nice place to visit. Didn't see a lot of bumps, maybe because it was getting cold. Try going there a few times at different times of the day. You gain a different perspective of the square each time. The restaurants and shops can get a little expensive so bring enough cash with you. So sad the the Barnes & Noble and Starbucks are gone. The place is now a restaurant and a bowling place. Keep in mind free parking is difficult.
  • Great place to walk around and enjoy the breeze. Lots of good shops, but I primarily come here for the farmer's market on weekends. It's always nice and cool, so it's a good retreat on hot days
  • Beautiful views of the bay and harbor. Very clean, too. Truely one of the gems of Oakland.
  • Several restaurants all within walking distance. Fun to walk and look at the boats. Sometimes there's live music. Free bus back to town if staying at hotel.
  • I've never been to Jack London Square before and I've lived in the Bay Area most of my life. So I thought that I should finally check it out. When I showed up with my girl we saw that there was a farmers market going on. Lots of yummy foods and love music. Besides the farmers market I noticed they offer a wide array of choices when it comes to the types of restaurants. From upscale sea food, to burger joints. We ended up going to a fun place called Planks. They also have lots of little shops and nice views of the bay. After spending a good portion of my day her today, I definitely want to come back and try some other restaurants.
