  • Fantastic activity for kids. It's a colorful hands on park with rides. My 2 yo and 5 yo loved climbing the exhibits and riding a few rides. It's located in a beautiful walking park with a lark and lar...  more »
  • This place is absolutely adorable! Entrance is $10 for ages 1 and up (which is great because we just did the Bay Area Discovery Museum and I had to pay for our 11 month old who slept most of the time)...  more »
  • This has a very retro feel that is comforting and that children really love. There is lots of interactive activities and also puppet shows and other entertainments. I like the old-fashioned, low-key v...  more »

  • Toddler friendly spot and very beautiful grounds. Lots of things for little ones to explore. The down is their outdated, misogynistic puppet shows need an update. The one we saw the last time we were there had me wincing and we walked out. I would love to see fairytales from around the world, diverse characters and empowering messages. Oakland is one of the most divers places in the world- our institutions should reflect that. Otherwise would be 5 stars. I wrote to them on their page and no response. I'm rethinking my membership despite the fact my daughter loves. I will not renew unless something changes.
  • Kids love it! I saw so much Patagonia gear I thought that I was climbing El Capitan. Kids can wander and explore, while having a great time. But as an adult, I do not want to talk to you about your views or parenting style. Bring your kids and they will be so grateful you did!
  • The kids had a blast. Everything is small size for them. 54" to get on to rides and lots of running space. Good for large groups or small get togethers. Really family based on the heart of Oakland!! We paid only $2 to park. They even have areas for birthday parties!!
  • This is a great family destination for young children. All the staff were friendly and enthusiastic and the kids loved it. They had a puppet show, train rides, live animals and fun playgrounds. I saw quite a few kids crying as they were leaving because they didn't want to leave. A lot cheaper than Disney Land but for the young kids, probably just as fun and not as crowded.
  • A delightful day out for the small ones. Many interactive exhibits, slides, play houses, and even a couple of rides. However the puppet shows are the star here, try see as many as you can. Frank Oz worked his first job as a puppeteer here!
