  • Arrived at 1:45 pm, Saturday. There were several open tables. We had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. Server was slow (5 minutes) at getting our food and drink orders. Wine menu said Spanish Cava (sparkling wine) $6.50 per glass. I ordered two. I was charged $9.00 per glass on my bill, which I noticed after I had left the building. ????? (Kiss that $5.00 goodbye) The soup and salad were fresh and tasty. And my husband was elated with the mashed potatoes, snow peas, carrots, and large portion of beef braised short rib that he got.
  • Everything was delicious, there was a 45 minute wait but we got a seat in 15-20 and man was it worth the wait! We had amazing award winning beers, a great burger and shrimp tacos. Wait staff was personable and knowledgeable, we wanted to go again but didn't have the time. P.S. great music playing in the background.
  • After a long day hiking in Yosemite, South Gate Brewpub was exactly the right choice. It was crowded but we were seated in 10 mins or so, and the atmosphere was relaxed and easy. Their beer is excellent and varied - I had the South Gate IPA - and the food (we had a cheddar bacon burger with garlic fries + the beef short ribs) is incredibly good. The beef short ribs were fork tender and flavorful and the burger was juicy and fresh. The wait staff were all very sweet and though stressed, were always easy to find and delivered our orders in a timely manner. This was one of the most satisfying and delicious meals I've had in quite a while!
  • We waited for a few minutes for a table, no big deal. After being seated we had to ask for someone to come take our order. Then waited almost an hour for a burger and pork sandwich to arrive. The burger was overcooked and the pork sandwich was dry and tasteless. At no point did any wait staff ask us about the food or anything. Service was not existent. The fries were pretty good though. Didn't have any beer so can't comment there.
  • We like this place but really, you must have time to wait. I liked the vibe better before it was remodeled and is now all table service - but now you need not wait in that crowded line. We started going because of the pretty-good gluten free pizza. In a brewery, we must be careful and always ask about ingredients, because they like to put their beer into sauces. The fries look good, and the Brussels sprout appetizer. I really wish they had sodas on tap - refillable ones!
