I took my 7 year old here one day on his Spring Vacation from school. We went right for 10:00 when they opened and were able to get right into Discovery Depot to do the Panning for gold in Thunder Cre... more »
If your kids love dinosaurs, this is a place to visit. Huge replicas of the animal are impressive. One dinosaur that makes noise can be scary. It is a nice stroll for a warm summer day. more »
The kids LOVED this place. They had a great time looking at the dinosaurs on the path, playing in the maze, and especially the T-Rex Tower climbing structure. Dinosaurs: For my dinosaur-loving kids, t... more »
Great place to take kids ages 5-12. Short nature walks with dinosaur displays and facts are fun and informative. A large well maintained playground area at the center let's the little ones go crazy, and the big splash pad area is a fun way to cool down. Maze with a slide exit through a T-Rex mouth and a small bounce house with slide were big hits as well. Price in peak season is a little high at about $25 a person and lack of a dedicated changing room in the Men's room (there is a Father's/Family changing room though). But we managed to get over 4 hours of fun in.
Clean, nice walking trails. Great splash pad and playgrounds. Large bathrooms and change areas. I only wish they had a tiered pricing. With a 1 and 3 year old I only can stay and hour or two and a $25 per person entry fee is a bit steep for such small children. This is our second year going and have had a great time both years
I liked this place, but I was honestly expecting a bit more. The splash pad is absolutely amazing. It is more of a soak pad, so be prepared with bathing suits and towels. They also don't allow bare feet and you will have to buy or borrow water shoes from them if you don't have any with you. The dinosaur part. meh. I thought that there would be animatronics or something a little more than a dozen dinosaur statues in the woods. I had a great day with my one and three year old, but I think it was pricey for the experience.
Loved the splash pad, its a little pricey so we may not make it a regular thing. But there are some cool exploration activities for the kids. The entire experience deserves at least one visit.
This place is great, we have been several times over the years and we love it. I would love to give this place a 5 out of 5 but we had a little heart stopping inncodent today. We went to the smash pad for a few hours today. Around noonish there was a great attendant who made sure children didn't leave the pad unattended. We went to t-rex tower for a little and came back to the pad and there was a new attendant. We were there for an hour and I got up to use to rest room. Leaving my friend, her daughter and my daughter to play. I guess my friend took her eyes off my daughter for a moment and when I got back she was gone. We searched the splash pad frantically, note the attendant didn't ask if if we needed any help. Finally we found her all the way across the play ground at the t-rex tower. I am the kind of person that believes in personal responsibility. However, they place an attendant at the entrance and it was disturbing to know she let a 2 year old walk out unattended. We brought this to the attention of the employee at the front desk and we were met with a lot of excuses. Will this stop us from going again? No. We truly love this place, but don't be fooled by the attendant at the gate. Keep a extremely close eye on your little ones :). Also the food isn't great, so pack a lunch. :D
