  • Adult pays $20 to bring a kid for $20 for a cute place with dinosaurs. Be sure to bring socks and water shoes, otherwise you aren't able to use the two main attractions. The store of course will sell you overpriced low quality socks and water shoes for an additional cost. A few playscapes, a maze, a water pad and a well groomed trail with a few cool dinosaur statues. The food place was closed. Nothing for adults or older children. It is a nice place, but we will never return. I would recommend against this place. There are other alternatives with more for less.
  • Took our 3 year old and he absolutely loved it! Saw lots of complaints about pricing but we thought it was extremely comparable to other museum type activities in the state. Obviously not something you'd do every weekend, it's an experience. Beyond the dinosaur trails and playground, the visit inside the digging area and gold mine was very neat for kids. I probably wouldn't do the gold mining for under 5, concept was hard to understand for my 3 year old. But the gem dig was very cool! The kids can take home whatever they find for 'gold' and gemstones within 10 minutes. There are packages with longer time to purchase, but I thought 10 min was plenty for my 3 yr old. There's also a completely dark mining cave for older kids, they get a hard hat with light on it to find the stones. Also, walking out, we couldn't resist having a few geodes opened. My son loved it and the mystery of what's inside was a lot of fun! We left with some cool treats, spent about 2 hours there, and thought the value was extremely worth it. For anyone wanting to experience this place for less, visit outside their peak summer season and the pricing is much less. The entire property is very well maintained and the gift shops have a lot to offer for dino lovers.
  • What a great place to take kids. The dinosaur statues were awesome, lifesize, and many I had never heard of. The splash pad was so much fun. And several playground structures....what a great day!
  • I took the day off of work to spend time with the kids and my boyfriend for our youngest's birthday. We spent 37 minutes in the park and $65 on tickets. Advertised on the website it states that we are currently in season so I assumed (after driving an hour to get here) that all attractions were open. Walking through the park I discovered that we had spent $65 to walk through a park and allow our kids to play on a playscape. It was 85 degrees but the water park was not open (the only reason we came). I became increasingly more upset and requested a manager. When I finally spoke with the general manager he informed me that I actually saved $20 because our 2 year old actually turned 2 today on his birthday so we should have paid for him but didn't. In addition he told me that fine print on the website explained all of this. When asked what I should do about the fact that I just spent $65 for 37 minutes that I could just go back in the park until I felt I had gotten my $65 worth. It was 85 degrees mind you. And I had a 2 year old and 3 year old screaming in the car. I work hard for my money. Very, very hard. Not to mention, I had also taken the day off of work to do this as well. I thought I was supporting a family business, a local spot. But the way I was treated and the way they clearly do not care about their customers means I will never be back here. Nor will anyone I know. And I'll keep writing these reviews every day if I have to to prevent more parents from having devastated babies in their backseat unable to explain why the video they watched online was nothing like the actual park. I'm thoroughly disappointed and even more disgusted with the general manager.
  • I have never written a review in my life. I am writing one today in hopes of deterring people from making the mistake we made today by going to the Dinosaur Place. We went for the egg hunt. We were sent notification to arrive at 10:00, which we did. After receiving bracelets at the desk we were grouped by age outside. We have a one and two year old and our group was released last. We were not let in until 10:45! Toddlers and babies everywhere were melting with tantrums just waiting to get in! As if that weren't bad enough, they let us in and the 1-2 year old section was a small picnic area with a bunch of plastic eggs thrown around. The egg hunt MAYBE took 5 minutes. The worst part about it was that if you wanted to redeem your prizes you had to stand in a line that would have taken at minimum ANOTHER half hour to 45 minutes. It cost my family of four (mind you two members are under three) $80 dollars to attend this horrific event and park. It is clear that they do not understand how to plan and execute large events. Through conversation with others at the event it was clear that we were not alone in our thinking. The park itself was also not impressive so overall it was a complete letdown. I will absolutely never return and caution anyone who is considering going to stay far away. It truly is a rip off and there are many better options out there.
