  • Lake Theatre is an old-fashioned, charming place to see a movie. My husband and I saw Wonder Woman for $6 each on a Saturday afternoon. There are free refills on drinks and popcorn. If you just want t...  more »
  • This is an old fashioned theater with very comfortable seating. In addition it was bargain priced. There was a decent selection of movies to choose from and it was an enjoyable movie experience.  more »

  • We love this theater. We have 2 other theaters near our home and make the drive to oak park. Seats are comfortable, it's always clean, concession prices are fair, and staff is always friendly. My husband would go there for the nachos and jalapenos Parking is available right past the theater in the garage which is free on Sundays and extremely reasonable other times. I have taken my family there on several occasions but oak park is a great date night location as well.
  • Probably my favorite theater to come to, and since I went here all the time as a kid, it's nostalgic too. Well designed space, classic, but not outdated. Staff is very friendly and helpful, particularly compared to pretty much any other theater I've been to. Pricing isn't super-expensive, and there is cheap or free parking available nearby despite it being in a busy area.
  • I like that Tuesday's house $5 any movie, all day. The food prices are reasonable. Some of the screen rooms are just too old & dirty & I find myself having a difficult time getting comfortable in the seats b/c of the old food on the floors & worn out seats. Some screening rooms are cleaner than others. A simple, or should I say, more thorough sweeping is necessary after films & @ the end of the night.
  • If your looking to take your family or have a date night at the movies this is the place to go. It has that old school feel but with all the modern amenities of a new theatre. The staff is always pleasant and the popcorn with drinks are reasonably priced. They always have a great selection of the latest movie releases at some great times, especially if you are trying to do dinner and a movie.
  • The movie theatre itself is worthy of 3-stars. Why? Because parking in the area is a huge pain in the behind!!! We always end up parking several blocks away. Once in a while we get lucky and find a spot a lot closer, but this is rare. With that said, it is clean and the employees are friendly. There are tons of restaurants in the area, which we always patronize. The fact that there are many choices of restaurants at many different price-points is worthy of 5-stars alone. The choices are endless! Skip all the junk food at the movies, and find a good restaurant in the area to eat. I like that this movie theater shows movies that are only at "select" theaters. My final rating is 3-stars due to the fact that parking is very, very difficult in this area. The people who rated this theater with 5-stars must live in the area, and do NOT have to deal with the hassle of finding a parking spot.
