  • Enjoyed the tour and regret I did not take the self guided audio tour. Beautiful neighborhood to explore! They omitted some personal historical information about FLW ..
  • Chicago, in my opinion, a very beautiful city. This is a very different and historically, very architectural. On the other hand-Oak Park District of Chicago and also rather curious (as, by the way, each of the districts in Chicago). If you look at the residential areas and the area-you can track the trends very clearly defined time segments. Or even so-understand who lived in an area with such-then (such the roofs and such-then Windows etc.). So, the Studio of Frank Lloyd Wright is wonderful and I would say a mandatory place to visit. Too much you can say, but most will be as follows: 1) you'll learn more about Chicago 2) you will learn more about the American style in architecture and interior design at that time 3) will show you interesting and unusual interior design project-integrated Home Architect (trust me-this autumn a large number of interesting details and facts from the biography) 4) you'll learn more about Frank Lloyd Wright, about his family , work and architecture. In General, go! And yet-it is best to take the tickets with 3-4 trips (still cheaper than paying will turn every attraction and believe-Chicago worth it! And information can be found in Macy's central Loop (it seems there Center tourists on the -1 floor). When you're in the Studio store-do not forget to say that you were in and receive a discount on purchases =) and another in the same Kla Park is the Museum of Hemingway is on the case If you then decide to feel permanently as far as Frank flipped the architecture of that time =)

  • The tour is fantastic, is a class of architecture and the place is super preserved. It is a privilege to be able to meet the residence and studio of an architect who became reference in the whole world. The ideal is to take the guided tour because they include several details of the House. The region is furthest from the Centre but within easy reach using the train, is a very nice residential neighborhood.

  • Absolutely amazing! This home has been wonderfully cared for by the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust. The docents and volunteers are clearly passionate about the man and his home. It was a wonderful hour long tour, and did not disappoint. They also have a wonderful collection of inspired items in the gift shop. Make sure you take time to wander the neighborhood on your visit as well. His other homes are remarkable, as are the rest of the historic homes in Oak Park.
  • I went during a free event, and still the tours were amazing. I love the older folks giving the tours, they have so much more extra to say about the house. Informative, and gorgeous.
  • Our tour guide, Mary, was great and informative. I had an amazing time here. I learned so much about this great architect and the reasoning behind his designs. It's just one tour of his first house that he designed. Walking tours of the other houses in the neighborhood comes separate. The tour lasted 1hr for $17 (adults). It's $14 if you bring your student ID. It will cost you $5 extra if you want to take pictures. Large bags will need to placed in their storage until the end of the tour.
  • Very beautiful place with lots of magnificent huge houses. The town is very quite and claim. The designer is really a genius.
  • Very cool to see how FLW modified his own home as he continued to experiment with styles. Fascinating features and great place to see. The library in particular was unique.
