  • This is a nice park in Oak Harbor that has been affected by some construction as they upgrade the city sewer system. Beach is south facing and good for walking, lots of driftwood. I have heard the RV ...  more »
  • We pulled up in our RV, to enjoy the ocean views, the park and the walking trails are great! Nice big lot to park and have lunch.  more »
  • Came on Sunday Morning at 9:30. Nice low tide, with seaweed to fling and rocks to flip. Plenty of room to look at itty bitty crabs. We pick them up, talk to them, and we put them back down. It's fun. ...  more »

  • Although I have given this a 5-star rating in the past, I can't express my disbelief and disappointment in the city council for closing Staysail R.V. Park this year! I believe this action is going to devastate Oak Harbor's tourism industry. THE main attraction that Oak Harbor had was the fact that RV park was right smack in walking distance of everything Oak Harbor! Location! Visitors have come from across the country for decades to attend our holiday festivities, and now where are they going to go? The state parks that are already over booked? (The last notice I remember was when they posted they would be closed for 3 years for renovations, three years ago, I don't remember anything brought up to the community about this recent decision tho close permanently until it was done!) This is truly the worst decision ever made for our tourist business! I wouldn't give Windjammer Park any stars, except it is a nice park.
  • This is a great little park the take a walk, or watch the scenery. The kids playground is pretty active, and there is an extended walk to the West through meadows and woods. The main park is grassy with nice walking paths along the waterfront.
  • Used to be nice. Now it stinks most the time and the two pipelines going into the ocean next to a sewage plant just ruins everything
  • Very spacious and clean park. The children's playgrounds are age appropriate and in good repair. There are also plenty of PokeStops and Gyms for those interested.
  • This place is pretty dumpy. There's a lot of campers and and the grounds aren't kept up very well. The resident birds are fiendly though! They sure do love it when you give them your lunch.
