  • The beach itself is quite stony, but the zone between the driftwood and the tidal marshlands is very easy to walk on. Great bird watching.
  • Lots of easy trails and a perfect example of a northwest Washington beach. Very tranquil and the walk through the forest is a treat because you can smell the cedar and fir trees as you walk.
  • Read where the best waves are for the kids. Came across this great beach! Took boogie boards and our lunch and it was awesome! Fun for kids of all ages, and an easy walk to the beach! Thank you!
  • This is one of my refuges where I go to meditate and balance myself. Great barbecue areas through out the trails and wonderful views of the Cascades to the south, Anacortes and other islands to the north and west. Wonderfully quiet and peaceful at night.
  • This park is not well known and generally is uncrowded. If you want a beach without mobs in the summer, this is the park for you. Trails can be muddy in rainy season but the plants and wildlife are well worth a bit of mud and the worst spots can be easily worked around..
  • Being a boy from Arkansas this is my all time favorite place to go when I get a chance to visit Oak Harbor. It's like my own private paradise.
  • This park is great to watch sunsets, walk the beach or trail, see Eagles soar above. My favorite quite place to go in the evening.
  • Uncrowded, beautiful views, canine friendly
