  • This is a beautiful place to go for a stroll along the beach. You can see for miles. I was there early in the morning and it was very peaceful and quiet.  more »
  • "JWSP", as it is referred to by the locals, is a nice spot for a picnic or a bit of a paddle in the surf. The beach is quite rocky, but when the tide is out, there's ample sand. There are covered picn...  more »

  • This park is not well known and generally is uncrowded. If you want a beach without mobs in the summer, this is the park for you. Trails can be muddy in rainy season but the plants and wildlife are well worth a bit of mud and the worst spots can be easily worked around. This is one of my best secret dragonfly photography destinations.
  • I've been coming here since I was a kid. You can walk along the beach for what seems like miles, combing through the sand and rocks as the waves break at your feet. When the tide goes out, the vast sand flats are exposed. Hot summer days are great for a picnic and swimming, while the windy fall/winter months are great for storm watching.
  • Great trails for kids and pets, woods, fields and beach areas. Quiet and easy to get to. 3 accesses, only one closes for winter.
  • A beautiful place and we enjoy walking the beach here when the tide is out.
  • This is one of my refuges where I go to meditate and balance myself. Great barbecue areas through out the trails and wonderful views of the Cascades to the south, Anacortes and other islands to the north and west. Wonderfully quiet and peaceful at night.
