  • My sister brought our whole family here. I had never heard of this place & I didn't know apple picking was a thing one could do so I was pleasantly surprised. It's best to go during the peak season in order to pick apples. As it was for us, we didn't find many to pick. But it was still absolutely beautiful to walk through the orchards. There was also the chance to make your own cider, which we did & turned out delicious. We also bought a whole apple pie which we could tell was homemade and very good. Plus, a bunch of other activities available for people with kids. I loved my experience here & hope to go back next year.
  • Ate at the Hawks Head restaurant for lunch November 2017. Portions were huge! The Stilton Cheese appetizer was phenomenal, we LOVE cheese. Also thought the Harvest Salad was also giant and very very good. Flavors complemented each other well. Staff was friendly. Didn't hover, but wasn't hard to reach either which was real nice. Pleasant, quiet atmosphere and location. Would recommend for something out of the ordinary.
  • Riley's Farm was The Bomb. We had lunch. The food was Awesome. Good homemade ambience was what you see in movies and read in books. The service was great. After lunch we pick pears off the trees. Cut Zinnias to bring home. It's a family outing or just two people enjoying country living. Pick pumpkins, apples or just look at the Bulls.
  • Went mid-October to pick apples. They were completely gone. The area is beautiful, and the food was great at the tavern. Just make sure you research ahead of time to ensure they have the fruit you want to pick. Parking can get crazy mid day, so get there early if you want an easier time. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.
  • Absolutely love this place! The rolling hills look just like the hills back East. Historic Colonial atmosphere, wonderful theater productions and special events. Great authentic Colonial fare at the Hawk's Head Tavern. Delicious baked goods to enjoy there or bring home. Romantic dining. Staff throughout location dressed in period clothing. It's the Colonial Williamsburg of the West Coast.
