Loved this park from what we saw of it. We were renting a home that backed up to the park and spent a day at the beach there. Great relaxing atmosphere. Large spread out swim area with spots of shade ... read more »
Spent Labor Day weekend here. Camp Site 158 on Big Island. This was a great site set back from road and nestled in the woods. It would not have been as private if site 159 had been occupied. There was... read more »
We rented the park pavilion for a reunion of 90+ men, women and children. With the beach near by this should be great. One week before we go they email us and say they need everyone's make, model and ... read more »
I have come to this park in several different capacities and home to love it more each time. I love paddling around on the lake. I love the beach with amazing facilities to include a playground and changing house. I love the trails. Wonderful park. Only drawback is the difficulty finding it.
Beautiful park , great hiking, excellent bouldering, some of the trails are doggy friendly . There are free entries on the Deerfield side and when the roads are open you can drive to the boulder field, but the roads are pretty rugged for a regular car
Beautiful campground along the lakes with beautiful views, a nice beach close by and fun canoeing/kayaking. It unfortunate however that there are lots of motor boats generating quite a bit a noise. Hiking to boulder field on the northern end of the park is jusy fantastic and a must do!
I have been going to Patuckaway since I was 6, so 44 years. It IS my favorite State Park in New Hampshire. Boat , canoe, and pedal boat rentals are available, changing rooms, modern bathroom facilities, a small store for stuff you forgot (slightly expensive, but not outrageous) trails, fishing, camping, concrete fireplaces for day use, swimming beach with lifeguards, large parking area, picnic tables, swing/playset for the kiddies. What's not to like.
Clean bathrooms, decent prices at the little store and to get in, clean large beach, nice playground equipment, plenty of shade and picnic tables (but I'm sure those go fast on the weekends) kayake, canoe rentals are fairly priced, my two complaints are the pebbled sand hurt our feet and there was a large population of Canadian geese so you had to watch for their droppings. The eater is tested daily and results are available online through the NH Environment Services website.
