  • Kids love this place. It has just enough to keep them entertained for a couple of hours. For adults, we could use more stimulation and awe, but that's not the point. The staff is mostly great. Some events are really fun. Membership is pretty reasonable (and tax deductible). Gift shop can be expensive but it's for a worthy cause. I recommend visiting on off peak hours because it's hard to do anything when it's crowded here. Overall I like it a lot. Not perfect but worth it.
  • Great for families. The parking lot can be a bit hectic on busier days and slow elevators + strollers and small kids can be a nightmare! Highly recommend parking on the top floor so you won't have to let full elevators go by over and over again. The aquarium has friendly staff and occasional activities for families. The whole place can be done within 2-3 hours, so plan accordingly. They have a cool jellyfish touch tank and child play area as well.
  • Wonderful and unique display of different aquatic animals. The best part is when they feed the otters and make a show out of it. It's didactic and very fun. Some other highlights are the enormous shark tank, the jelly fish and the turtles.
  • I used to visit this place every week. The sharks area is wonderful with dimmed light and calming music. I would say its better to visit in the morning, not on weekends when it's overcrowded. The gift shop is pretty expensive but not necessary to buy anything there :)
  • I love the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk. It is the perfect size, there is plenty to do and they do their best to keep updating the place. Staff is helpful, and courteous. The place is clean and it has some nice open spaces for kids to run about. The big tank with the sharks is a beautiful spot, I miss the jellyfish tank though.
