Winslow Farm Animal Awareness is a non-profit charitable organization devoted to the rescue and care of abandoned and mistreated animals. Established in 1996, Winslow Farm exists for one purpose: to provide love and care to the many animals without a home or for those that have been abused and/or neglected by their previous owners. A sanctuary where animals can learn to trust humans once again.

In the fall of 1997, Winslow Farm opened it's doors to the public as a petting farm, offering the public an opportunity to meet and interact with the 183 animals that live on the farm. In addition to an animal sanctuary, Winslow Farm offers a variety of animal-oriented activities including birthday parties for children, pony rides, group educational tours, nature hikes and trails, as well as special events occurring during the holiday seasons. These activities serve to educate the public about neglected, abused, and abandoned animals, general animal care, and allows animals the exposure to a population of "good" humans that these animals can learn to trust.

Winslow Farm offers a tranquil setting, either by the campfire or by the Meadow Brook Pond for reflecting, writing, meditating and enjoying nature, in addition to the opportunity to visit and interact with the over 200 animals at Winslow Farm.
For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Norton holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Winslow Farm Animal Sanctuary and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • Just wonderful. It's so magical in there. The gardens are beautiful, the animals seem happy and I love that many of them can interact with each other. There are some really friendly critters too, some that just walk up to you and others that will come over with a bit of coaxing. They're doing a great job. Keep it up and support this little sanctuary! (definitely going back :) )
  • Good job. You can walk free with the animals. Some come right up others let you know to stay back. Nice people there. Well worth the trip
  • I placed a call to Winslow Farm on 6/17/16 to ask if I could tour the facility to see if it would be a good fit for any of the Adults in the Employment program I work at to volunteer. As soon as they heard "disability" I was rudely shut down and did not even get to ask for the tour. I was told they would be at risk of being "kicked by a horse" ...doesn't everybody have that risk working on a farm? Do you really think I would put any of my people in a situation that would harm them? This would be why I wanted to ask for a tour. Ohh and worried about law suits had you taken a moment to listen we are fully insured! We are an employment program, we train people to be gainfully employed, our people have many talents and because of closed minded people like the one I spoke with many will work to levels you will never see from someone without a disability. Believe me Winslow.... this was your loss! Extremely disappointed that at this day and age people are so closed minded and cruel.
  • Came here for Easter with my two children nd they absolutely loved it. This farm is amazing with fun playground and plenty of farm animals just strolling around lol. A must place to visit with the family.
  • THIS REVIEW IS BASED ON PARKING ALONE. I am a truck driver and had to pass this place today, I am not happy with cars parked on the street, causing me to drive in the center of the road, with oncoming traffic. My main concern was for any children that might dash onto the street, but secondly, my attention was divided to the oncoming vehicles. Luckily there were no accidents as I drove by, but the potential risk is there. A small suggestion. Sacrifice a few feet along side the road, so parked cars are completely off the road. This will eliminate the need to drive in the center of the road avoiding parked cars, reduce the amount of attention directed to oncoming traffic, and increase the attention directed for any stray children. Besides that, it looked like a great place to bring my children, if I lived closer. I bumped up the star rating to 4 as to not hurt your overall too badly.
