Santa Claus House Reviews
After visiting Santa Clause Village in Rovaniemi, Finland the previous Winter break, I was expecting to feel the same excitement and happiness when meeting Santa here in the North Pole, AK. Unfortunat... more »
We knew it was closed as listed on the internet but wanted to see it anyway, really cute place and I bet it was awesome inside. We took pictures outside. more »
We wanted to at least stop in and visit this place and their website said they were only open on Sunday due to the renovations. We made a trek all the way from Fairbanks on a Sunday to see it and they... more »
This is always a pretty cool place to visit if you are in the area. Some of the workers are pretty friendly, but others are not. I would figure that if they wanted this to be some kind of tourist attraction, they would get the best people. For instance, the lady that runs the fudge and coffee kiosk counter is not necessarily a very personable lady. Anyways, not a deal-breaker. If you are open Alaska, it's a great place to visit
I ordered three letters from Santa on November 21, 2017 two of those letters were going to the same address which have been verified that the addresses are the same. Two ofletters arrived timely, one that was to go to North Carolina and the other two to Illinois the second one that was supposed to go to Illinois in the same household never arrived. Today on December 15, 2017 I called and inquired they simply said they are not responsible for what happens to the letters after they leave the north pole and that they will send another letter but cannot guarantee it will be here by Christmas. I explain the devastation on the child's face when her cousin and her little brother received their letters from Santa and she cannot understand why she did not receive a letter from Santa. I asked about expediting the letter and they wanted to charge me $20, I told them that is unacceptable and I should not have to be responsible or have to see the sad/disappointed look on my niece's face because she did not get a letter from Santa. It's not about the money it's about the joy and seeing the magic in their eyes when they see a real letter from Santa addressed just to them! It's a special moment that you cannot put a price on. I received no help from the customer service line. The Santa Claus House says they guarantee smiles...but they definitely brought lots of tears of sadness. It was absolutely heartbreaking. They did say that they would send another but it wouldn't get there by Christmas the whole point of getting it before Christmas is the anticipation and the magic and the excitement of knowing that they are on the good list and Santa really is coming. I am so heartbroken for my niece and I will never order anything from this place ever again and I will never recommend anyone here. I am a single mom it's been a very tough year but I wanted to do something extra special to make this Christmas magical for them and for one of them it was ruined which made the other two children that were happy yet sad at the same time as they felt guilty for wanting to fully enjoy their letters and small gifts from the north pole since their sister/cousin did not get one. I know there are many good reviews here and as a first time customer ordering here was a big mistake for me.
Santa's house is the cutest little place. They have so many cute and ornate ornaments to buy. There are letters from Santa that you can get to give to loved ones. You can even send the letters from Santa's house so they will get stamped from the North Pole. Another cool thing you can get is a deed to 1 inch of the North Pole! It is really cool! There are some cheaper gifts that you can get too. There are some wooden post cards that you can actually mail to people. I have never seen such ornate postcards as them. If you don't want to mail them they do make quite a neat souvenir to keep. When we went, Santa was on Fall Break so sadly I did not get the chance to sit on his lap and ask him if I made it to the nice list this year. But I will have to come back in November so I can ask him. Something that you must get when you go to Santa's House is their fudge. It is the best fudge I have ever had! They have so many different flavors and all of them are so good. They are a little pricey but definitely worth it if you are a fudge lover.
I really enjoyed all the different types of decorations in the house. If you have children it's a must. My grandchildren enjoyed it. The wait wasn't terribly long considering it was Dec. 23rd.
Beautiful and well maintained! Incredible ornament selection and lots of nick nacks. Santa Clause and Mrs Clause are great with the kids. May occasionally be a long line for Santa depending on when you go but definitely worth while. Of course, the reindeer are on site as well.
