  • be sure to wear shoes, sometimes fishing hooks are caught in the boards - the consequences can be painful...  more »
  • This is a nice pier to visit if you're in the area. It costs $3 to walk the pier. I know you can fish from the pier, but not sure of the pricing for that.  more »
  • The pier could use a little more upkeep, but it was still good to walk out on and enjoy the view. Can't wait for the end of the pier to be finished with its remodel.  more »

  • Very enjoyable, in my opinion. I visited the pier this afternoon, for the first time, and it was a positive experience. The staff were personable and available (especially the parking attendant, who patiently explained to me the rules for entry). The pier's outbuilding was clean and comfortable, as was the walkway; the restaurant looked inviting, and though I didn't go in, I quite liked the warm, friendly smells that greeted me as I passed. There were bathrooms available, and the men's was orderly and well-maintained. I was equally pleased with the pier itself, which, with its quiet, laid-back vibe, proved to be an excellent scene for the picnic lunch I'd packed. Out at the circular end, beneath its nice, shady roof, I had a long, leisurely meal, and it could be described as magical. The distance lulled me into feeling as if I was truly on open sea, and, with the help of a good book and my good food, I lost myself in the experience, as so rarely happens in adult life. Even back on proper land, I found that my "sea voyage" stayed with me long afterward, as to lend sparkle to the rest of my day. A magical time, indeed. So, a word of thanks to all the good folks at the Cherry Grove Pier, for enabling my lovely open-sea picnic. I am sincerely grateful for your work and service.
  • This is a nightly stop for us when we are in Cherry Grove. Im not the greatest fisherman, but walking along the pier, you can see some really good anglers catching fish constantly. Sharks are a big problem around the pier and are caught regularly. Theres nothing like watching someone wrestling with a nine foot shark for 45 minutes only to have the line snap. Very cool.
  • Love the diner here. Great food. Decent prices. Awesome view.
  • Parking for fishing or restaurant is expensive in lot beside pier, however, there is a free public parking deck across from pier on Ocean Blvd under Prince Tower (north). Restaurant at the Prince Resort/pier has okay food, and usually slow service, but a great view outside ocean side. Pier fishing can run into some $$$ as they charge per rod and don't allow you to bring your own beer. Bait, beer and rods may be purchased in tackle shop. Even more $ for fishing from the end of the pier under and around the observation deck, but less crowded. 4th of July, the pier is closed that night for a wonderful fireworks display. Best around.
  • The kids and myself decided to go to the pier for some fishing. We park across the street in the public parking deck. The top two floors are public. We went after 3pm so we only had to play for a half day. It was pretty windy but did catch one and some bites. We did see dolphins about 50yds out while on the pier. We would probably do it again but definitely on a nicer day.
