  • We had a nice stroll by the water, watching the boats, and then up to a restaurant and shops and ended with ice cream. There is a small pond, too, which had turtles and a mother duck with ducklings.  more »
  • Don't waste your time. Closed stores, poor shops, just all out boring.. A family with young kids might enjoy it but if you're a family with mid to late teens don't waste your time.  more »
  • This is a great place to shop and stroll around as a couple or as a family. Lots of restaurants and shops!  more »

  • I love going here when we go to the beach. I love walking around the shops and restaurants. It does get hot in the summer, but, it IS summer sooo...seems there is not enough seating at times when it is busy. The bathrooms are not really convenient but are clean and well taken care of. At least when I've used them. There can be a line at times for the women's but, that happens sometimes. I like walking around and people watching. We like the Fudge shop the best.
  • We were here last year. It seems to have gone down hill since the last time we were here. (Broadway at the Beach) was much better if your looking for fun shopping and lots more food choices too. We only go to Barefoot Landing for (Carolina Vineyard) we are from Toledo OH area. We buy a case of wine everytime we visit.
  • Barefoot landing is a nice boardwalk surrounding a lake. From an aesthetic perspective it deserves maybe 4 or 5 stars. However, it's getting old. Moreover, you can get a lot of the same from Broadway at the beach. There are a decent amount of specialty shops at barefoot, like a fruit wine store, a beef jerky store and an olive oil store, but generally it more of the same touristy stuff you get everywhere else. Finally, it is worth noting that you can bring your dog to walk around, although you can't bring them in the shops. Altogether, it's worth a trip if you're just looking to meander around and waste some time.
  • Went there today due to the forecast not being Beach worthy. The atmosphere is nice but you couldn't walk 12ft without someone hollering for you to come get a map so they could each try and get you to sign up for a time share. SO annoying! My mom and I left within 45minutes. I'd go to the Boardwalk one in Myrtle Beach, a lot more to do and no one bothers you!
  • Has just about anything you could want in a series of little stores, no matter how odd or normal your tastes may be. Awesome floating bridges, fireworks every week, a few carnival rides, tigers every evening, and "street performers" throughout the area. Some of the sales people in the individual stores can be high pressure. I get why I just don't like it, but overall I love it.
