  • I'm an average golfer and I can tell you I will never play here again!! We booked a tee time not knowing what was in store. Not only was the course in terrible condition -- long grass, no water, horri...  more »
  • Overall a great time, with friendly staff and good customer service in the clubhouse and on the course. Wish they had a driving range. Others reviews are harsh. Obviously this isn't the love course. I...  more »
  • The price was decent. Other than that, not much good to say about it. Crabgrass was growing in the fairways, we went on a day that the heat index was around 104 and there was no water on the course, t...  more »

  • My buddy and I played Azalea Sands in late February early March. The course for this time of year was in pretty good shape. The course was not overly challenging (unless you made it so!) but made you play with course management in mind. For the price ($30 including cart) I felt that the rate was pretty fare. Staff were friendly and courteous. Only negative to report was that there were no restrooms available on the course.....
  • April 12, 2016. There had been a few showers in the morning but the amount of rain was less than a quarter of an inch. With this being said our group decided to get in an afternoon 18. We wanted to be close to where we were staying so we chose this course. We found the rate of 40 to be reasonable so we decided to give it a shot, what a mistake. Our first indication should have been the empty parking lot but we thought maybe the weather was to blame, wrong again. This course is horrible, the owners should be ashamed of their product. It is obvious that no care is being given to this course. You need a 4 wheel drive for the cart paths, while age I'm sure has to be partially to blame there has been no maintenance provided or so it appears. The tees are barely useable, bunkers have grass growing in them on several holes and the yardage markers are not accurate according to 3 different range finders. The only playable part of the course is the fairways. During our visit the fairways were green and in decent shape but they didn't appear to have been mowed recently. The greens are not even playable. I'm not sure if it is disease or overgrowth but they show no care what so ever. After playing a few holes we decided to stop and just leave. When we returned to the clubhouse at approximately 5:30 no one was even there!! Save your money and don't visit, there are a lot of great courses in the area within but Azalea Sands is certainly not one.
  • Great day lots of fun played 18 in about 3 1/2 hrs the staff was awesome quick and to the point the place is in really good shape and clean I am a rec golfer not very good course is very playable not to much sand or water very nice layout thanks again
  • Course wet, hence cart path only. Greens okay, fairways good. Cart paths rough but age does that. A 5 hour round as two women who obviously didn't know that it is common courtesy to allow faster players play through. Where was the marshall on a Saturday afternoon? There were 3 holes open in front of them. Luckily the women went in at the turn so we played through. During the back nine the women were three holes back with many people waiting. Not liking the holdups for everyone.
  • Great little course needs some TLC it's kinda got the hometown municipal course feel to it great price and good place for a warm up round ! Played in under 4 hours ! The snack bar is a must too friendly staff and not expensive
