#1 of 6 in Parks in North Myrtle Beach
Wildlife Area Educational Site
In addition to its namesake creatures, Alligator Adventure hosts an array of animals, such as beavers, tigers, reptiles, and more. Wander the center, as much a zoo as an alligator park, and visit the exhibits featuring native and non-native creatures. Don't miss the shows, including live alligator feedings and lessons in alligator and snake handling. You'll not only have the chance to admire American alligators, but also an albino alligator, a Chinese alligator, and even a crocodile. Check the website for information about feedings, show times, and special ticket offers. • Visited Alligator Adventure during our first trip to Myrtle. It is a little pricey but it was fun for the whole family. We saw and touched animals that we wouldn't be able to in a typical zoo. Was ver...  more »
  • This should almost be a free exhibit. You literally walk around and look at the animals who look just as miserable as you do from the heat. We paid $72 for 3 ppl and was ready to go in 10 minutes. The...  more »
  • Alligator Adventure is worth the money. You really never know how the gators are going to react. While we were there, all the animals were screaming, barking and yelling loudly. When we walked around ...  more »

  • My family of three went there before it rained. It was a good time even though we went on a very hot day. If you need to cool off then they have a refreshments stand with seating and umbrellas as well as an indoor air conditioned building for snakes and a separate one for frogs and lizards. There is a lot to see here and the feeding show was great. We did take a picture with an alligator which was $20. It was a good memento for our first family vacation. Overall, we had a good time.
  • They have a large variety of animals. It was really neat to see so many of them, but what I can not agree with is the conditions they're kept in. All of the ponds outside were very dirty. I understand it's challenging to keep them free of algae when they're outside, but it should be done otherwise the animal's health can suffer. I also felt that they had way too many animals in some of the enclosures. Like they couldn't control the population or something. Best thing I can say is that the snakes and birds are kept in adequate conditions. There just needs to be some serious maintenance and cleaning done on the enclosures.
  • Don't let the name fool you, they have way more than just gators here. Actually they have a huge diversity of animals. Walking around the park is fun in and of itself, and the shows only enhance the experience. Would recommend to any animal lover.
  • We love it here. So many alligators! It is a nice walk throughout the preserve and there is a lot to see. Take advantage of the 2 day pass!
  • My family loved this place. Alot of different reptiles and animals. Also had live shows which were very educational. Would recommend to anyone to go.
