  • Rented a rustic cabin for a few days in mid-May. The cabin was clean, had a double bed (quite literally 2 beds put together) and a bunk-bed set. The beds aren't the height of comfort, but you're camping, they're not supposed to be. There's a kitchen table with benches, stove/oven combo, sink, a ceiling fan, a small back porch, fire pit and picnic table outside. It's nice. We were right on the Bay. I've been to elk Neck quite a few times and always enjoyed myself.
  • This is a great location for a short hike to scenic views and a tour of an old lighthouse. It is awesome that more people are learning of this location. However, this makes it so you'll want to get there early. Parking is limited and new this year they are stationing a ranger at the parking lot. The ranger will turn you away if it is full.
  • Great staff and beautiful woods and nature BUT drowned out by music, hockey and basketball playing on the road. Yelling children and people using the park like it is a recreation center. There are areas for recreation but not being used. Loud. Might as well be in the city. The Park is allowing this to be nothing more than a city block. Can't hear the birds or wildlife. Very disappointing. I won't recommended if you think you are going to experience nature and a respect for being in the natural world.
  • H U G E. Lived in Maryland for years and never knew this place existed. Finally took a trip there with my gf and we spent the whole day there. Only downside is that the trails are not very strenuous. Long, but not difficult. All the varied trails are beautiful though. Still need to go back and see the light-house!
  • The entrance to the parking has some deep ruts. Grass is long too. Seems like the park service is neglecting this nice natural park. Otherwise, nice walk but very basic.
