  • 1 star because I wish I could give this business negative stars. Used them this past winter for snowmobiling, and when the snowmobile went a tad bit into the soft snow there was no service and direction on what to do. With a stuck snowmobile, we tripled up on one of the other snowmobiles and ventured back to the place. The man was awfully rude and sarcastic and told us we had to pay extra to have the snowmobiles for the extra time we would need in order to try and tip the snowmobile ourselves. For those of you who have never encountered a snowmobile, they are 1,000 pounds and impossible to lift or tip with even three adults. He then told us if we didn't try to get the snowmobile out ourselves they could do it and would charge us more money plus a damage fee because the employees would have to damage the snowmobile in order to get it impossibly out of the soft snow. Long story short the cops were called and sent their way because the manager got verbally aggressive.
  • I've been here every at least once a year for the past 3-4 years and it never disappoints. Staff always seems friendly and happy, we usually go right before prime busy season (Before July 4th). They have plenty of items in store if you're missing anything. They also have an air compressor you can use if you're in need of inflating some floatable items. I highly recommend the Intex Floatable Cooler. Best investment easily. I also recommend having a pair of water shoes. The river itself is relatively easy going, although I always see at least one person flip during my trip down the river. Keep your phones dry or don't bring them!
  • For those of you who are reading the reviews and making your decision on weather or not to use Northern Extremes as a Canoe or Tubing company for your trip down the Saco.....There are some unfavorable reviews on here, but let me tell you....Family of 10, We had a Ball! Northern Extremes was friendly, informative, they got us on a bus a quickly as they could. It was a very busy day on the river! They were just great and would use them again.
  • Awesome experience, very friendly & helpful. TY for my best first time experience. I Highly recommend this company,we had a party of 8 and they were very efficient!!!
  • I have used them now for 5 years the first few yes went amazing. We had a wonderful time the last 2 yrs we have gone tubing a friend that came along fell through r the floor of the patriots bus they use and they didn't even care. She got stuck in the floor. We had to go outside and push her foot up through the floor and pull away the metal. That same time they told me if I got a double tub I would have to pay and extra $20 for them to drive it to the river. They never charged extra for that before. Both People had paid to go why would it make any difference. I mean they never charged me for it all the other years. Today we went and it took them and hour and a half to put us on the van to go down the river. They guy called our name and said we were next to go as we should have been because we were next in line. Then he sucked our paper in the back of all the others and forgot about us. He quickly lost track of who had been put on the vans and who was next shuffling everyone's papers around. He began just calling who ever he had on the top and they were all at the back of the line and just arrived while everyone at the front was waiting for hours I the heat. Completely in professional and out of line yelling at the staff! We will definitely be finding a new place to use next ur.

Where to stay in North Conway

North Conway can get quite busy, especially in summer and the peak foliage period during early fall, so you'll want to choose a place to stay that allows you to head into the surrounding area without driving through town. If you plan to visit attractions to the north, like the White Mountains, stay on the north side of town. For easier access to attractions like the Kancamagus Highway, stay on the south side. Whichever part of town you choose, you'll find a healthy selection of inns and bed and breakfasts in historical houses as well as locally owned hotels, full-service resorts, and vacation rentals.
