#2 of 20 in Winter Sports in New Hampshire
Since 1937, Cranmore Mountain Resort has been a popular ski (and more recently snowboard) destination, in fact, it's one of the oldest continually run slopes in the country. At 610 m (2,000 ft), the resort caters to all levels, from the baby hill to 1.5 km (1 mi) descents. Nine chairlifts service 57 different runs. For thrill seekers, the resort includes five snow parks featuring jumps and rails at varying degrees of difficulty. Or ski between the trees on one of eight glade runs. The ski school offers private or group lessons for both skiing and snowboarding. The resort also operates year-round as the Mountain Adventure Park, a small amusement park featuring a giant swing, rollercoaster, tubing, and a zipline. As the Event Planner for a large NH company, I can't say enough wonderful things about Cranmore. Meg and Paul, their staff and caterers made our day stunning! We could not have asked for a better day. I highly recommend you consider Cranmore for your next event!

Favorite place to ski. Great service too. If the mountain was bigger this place would have it all but there's a few good runs.

Where to stay in North Conway

North Conway can get quite busy, especially in summer and the peak foliage period during early fall, so you'll want to choose a place to stay that allows you to head into the surrounding area without driving through town. If you plan to visit attractions to the north, like the White Mountains, stay on the north side of town. For easier access to attractions like the Kancamagus Highway, stay on the south side. Whichever part of town you choose, you'll find a healthy selection of inns and bed and breakfasts in historical houses as well as locally owned hotels, full-service resorts, and vacation rentals.
