  • Went here on a brews cruise. Great beer and lots of fun!!! Such a cool place. Could definitely be a good place to hang out if we lived in the area!!
  • Let me Tell you,........The Holy City Brewing Company is a definite must on visiting the Greater Charleston SC area. On a previous trip to Charleston I tasted a beer called "Pluff Mud" and fell in lov...  more »
  • Cool place, off the main road. Plenty of parking. Alot of parking. Beer was great. Staff is friendly.

  • Holy City turned our corporate event into a fun event with their beer tasting. JT was so friendly and fit in well with our group - he answered countless questions about the brewery for our beer enthusiasts and amateur home brewers. They provided a nice sample of beer varieties and told us a bit about each. I was dubious, but can confirm that JT is in fact good at smiling as his bio on the website says. Thanks, JT and Holy City Brewing!
  • Was there middle of June honestly looking to hit up Palmetto. When that fell thru I hit the next closest which was the best move I could have made. Paradise was easily the best IPA I had outside of Charlotte. The gentlemen behind the bar even worked up something even my non-beer drinking son liked. Nice, cool outta the way place with good food. I'll shall return!
  • Solid lineup of 25 taps. In mid Oct it featured 4-5 Pale/IPA/DIPAs, a couple Berliner Weisse, multiple Saisons. Comfortable indoor drinking area but could get crowded on a cold or rainy day. Nice patio drinking picnic tables. Friendly bar staff after some initial stand offishness. Cans available to go in a cooler along with 22s of some exotic barrel aged stuff. Did not try anything out of the kitchen. 5 stars despite early closing (9 on Fri & Sat; 5 on Sun and 8 the rest of the week) and having to go out side to reach the bathroom.
  • Very unique bar with great beer. The loaded BBQ fries were delicious. The male bartender is knowledgable and friendly. They offer a nice outdoor patio, cornhole, and pool table.
  • Visited on a rainy Sunday afternoon about 30 minutes before closing. The bar was mostly empty. The bartenders were not rude but not necessarily welcoming either, possibly due to our timing. I have had pluff mud porter many times before and enjoy that beer so I went with some of the limited run selections for something different. The beer was okay. It wasn't great. To be honest, it actually wasn't that good. I love the feel of the brewery, especially the old bar from Cumberland's which reminds me of college. I even thought the cat behind the bar was cute, though I'm not sure if that meets DHEC regs for a food prep area. With all of the great beer being produced in Charleston at the moment, I'm not sure if I will add Holy City to my brewery rotation.
